Perfection In The Imperfect

"Astrid, can you go get Kendra from her locker? We'll meet you at the car."
"Okay. I'll be quick." Astrid said and turned around speeding to Kendra's locker. While we were walking to the car, Raina began with a conversation about the people she met at school. I didn't really listen, until she began talking about Kendra.

"Hey, I never even met her friend. I don't know why, but since we became friends with Kenny, she was never at school."
The hair on the back of my neck stood on end, and I stopped walking. Somethings wrong.
"Do you know where her friend is at the moment?" I trembled.
"No, but the first time I saw her was at least a week ago when me and Astrid began chatting with Kendra. It was weird, we were talking to Kendra, and she was busy walking to us, until she saw us, then she looked a little freaked out, and left. Some good friend, she is." She said frustrated, until she saw my face, and got scared.
"Why do you ask?" She asked questioningly.
"We have to get her out of here. But first, I just have to make sure she is the right one and not a random girl with the same name as Kendra."

I am currently running to her, grateful l that the school is now deserted. Grover and Raina are following shortly after me.

"Axl, what's going on?" Grover stammered. I ignored him. I didn't have time to answer him.

When I got to Astrid and Kendra, I went straight to Kendra, and grabbed the back of her neck and shoved her shirt a little bit down to see just under her neck.
"What the hell are you doing!" Kendra yelled at me.
"What's going on?" Astrid yelled. Everyone began yelling at me. But I ignored them, because now I know that she is the Kendra. I look back at Raina, and she already knows.

"She has the purple heart." Everyone went silent. A pin could drop at any moment.

"What's going on?" Kendra threatened me.
"We have to get you out of here. Now."
