Chapter 26-complete

"It's an honour to finally meet our queen!" the guy told me, while viciously shaking my hand.

I smile at him, but deep inside, my hand is breaking in his grip. "Thank you. It's an honour to meet all of the palace today." He watches my every move like a hawk. This guy is making me very nervous. I feel Axl's presence next to me, and feel better.

"Excuse me, but the princess has to come with me." Thank goodness! Anywhere but here.

The guy releases my hand and bows. Axl takes me to a woman next. She looks trustworthy. Maybe it's because she looks in her late 80's. She has this beautiful dark emerald green gown on, with white gray hair in a bun.

Before we walked to the lady, Axl pulls me closer. "After you're done talking to miss Roth, come to the balcony. I want to show you something." And walks away, letting me talk to miss Roth alone.

"Hello, miss Roth. I have heard so much about you. How is everything going?" she looks worried and tense, and looks me in my eyes. "My child, something is horribly wrong. The man you were talking to a minute ago, his name is James. He is a very bad person." "What do you mean, miss Roth?"

"My dear, he asked me to work for him, and I said yes, because he promised a lot of money, but I didn't know what he was planning on doing. When I heard of his plans, I quickly got away, because he is a maniac! That friend of yours, what's her name?"

"Raina?"

"No, not her."

"Astrid?"

"No, no, no, your bestfriend....what's her name again? Brianna...Diana..."

I feel very uncomfortable saying the name, but...

"Adrianna?"

"Yes! That's the one! Listen, you have to believe everything she told you."

"All she told me was that she is sorry."

"James forced her to do all that horrible things to you. The man plotted everything from the beginning, telling everyone that she and her mother is the bad guys.

That man took her mother, and I don't think he will let her out alive. He doesn't want you to find out what he did. All you have to know is that the purple heart on your neck tells everyone that you are of royalty. James didn't believe it, and wanted you to prove to him that you are the princess. He is not trustworthy."

I looked around me to search for the guy, but he wasn't there anymore. I leave miss Roth, and look for Axl.

She should be here any moment now. I stand outside on the balcony, and look out on Chrystalpale. This is such a beautiful place.

I put my hand in my pocket, and take out the little box with the ring. I hope she likes it.

I stare at it, until I hear footsteps coming this way. I quickly put it back in my pocket, and turn around. Right in front of me stands the most beautiful princess I know, and she has makeup all over her face. Before I know, I'm standing in front of her, wiping the tears streaming down her face.

"What happened?"

"They took her. Axl, Adrianna is kidnapped, and they forced her to do all of that horrible things!"

"Who took her?"

"James."

Oh.

That idiot who was trying to flirt with Kendra!

I shout to the guards to come with us.

We are going to save Adrianna.

Once and for all.
