Emily's POV:
It had been just over a week since I last talked to Adam, and I wasn't even the least bit worried. It was the first week into November and school was still the last thing on my mind. I had picked up a part-time job at Ragstock in the Crossroads Mall and was enjoying it a lot, plus Darren was moving into his own apartment close to me so I could visit him easier. My parents still didn't know I was dating him, and I didn't feel the need to tell them. They always ruin my life anyways.
It was 3:05 pm and school had just gotten out. I was in band when the bell rang and stood to put away my tenor saxophone when Cole, my ex boyfriend, walked in the room and stood next to me while I put away my instrument.
"Hey...Emily..." He said quietly. I looked up at him, smiled, then continued putting away my sax.
"I was wondering if you wanted to...um..." He stopped. So did my heart. I was not going back into this routine.
"Cole, look. You're a nice guy and all, but I don't want to go back into a relationship with you. I won't hurt myself like that again. It's not worth it. Plus I'm dating someone..." I explained numbly.
"Oh, yeah, that's...that's fine. We could still hang out, through...right?" Cole replied awkwardly. In all honesty, he was my best friend. My closest friend. We dated for two and a half years and then I broke it off. I shouldn't have. But I did. And now I was finally over it and moving on with my life. I didn't want to ruin what I had built with him.
"Of course. I'll pick you up around six, okay?" I agreed.
He nodded, and with a grin left the room. I was slightly confused.
Adam's POV:
The hotel I moved Tommy and I into was gorgeous and we had finally gotten everything unpacked. It was basically an apartment. Maybe I should have gotten an apartment instead? Money was never a problem, but an apartment would have been cheaper (even with my celebrity discount I had received). The room we had gotten had a full kitchen, bathroom, and closet. It was roomy, had comfortable beds and a leather couch, and a balcony. It was absolutely perfect.
That being said, we almost never left the room. We did go swimming once and we went out for a nice lunch one day, but Tommy never wanted to leave, so I didn't leave either.
"What should we do today?" Tommy whispered into my neck. We were curled up on the bed together and I was stroking Tommy's blonde hair.
"I kind of had plans already for us. But it's a secret. So you'll find out later tonight," I replied with a grin. "Until then..." I pulled Tommy onto me and grinded on him, pulling soft moans out of him. I kissed his neck, making the moans come more frequently and louder. "We can just....play around..."
There were no words after that. Only moans of pleasure and happiness.
"Am I too overdressed?" I asked Tommy as I walked out of the bathroom with a black button-up and black jeans on.
"I wouldn't know because I don't know where we're going Adam!" Tommy laughed quietly. I smiled and deemed that I would be okay. I pulled on a leather jacket that had something in the pocket jabbing my side.
But it wouldn't be in the pocket for much longer.
Tommy and I got into our new rental car and I drove to Jewel's Bistro, a fancy restaurant downtown, and parked on the street. A waiter met us at the door, asking if we had reservations.
"A. Lambert, reservation for two. I'm planning to propose tonight so could we have a quiet spot in the restaurant?" I whispered to the waiter.
"Of course. Your table will be ready in a few minutes," the young man replied with a sincere smile. I turned around to face Tommy and found him gazing at the decorations around the place. Sneakily, I tip-toed behind him, then hugged him from behind. "The place is awesome, right?"
"Yeah, definitely!" Tommy sighed happily. A few minutes later, we were called back to our table that was pretty secluded. Not many people were around us, unlike the main section, which was full. I lead my boyfriend to his seat and then seated myself. I stuck my hand in my pocket, fiddling with the small box located in the deepest corner. I began questioning myself and whether I should really propose to him. Suddenly a waitress came out of nowhere and began taking our orders and bringing us drinks. I finally looked up at Tommy and my stomach turned again. He looked so amazing tonight and I wanted him to mine.
I wanted to do this.
