"So, made any alliances yet?"

We all sat around the dining table, eating food that would usually be meant for a Thanksgiving feast, but in the Capitol, everyday is Thanksgiving apparently. Erraline was asking us about anything we accomplished during our first day of Training. I am proud to report that we have not only joined the Careers, we're allies with District Three and Eleven. Draco informed Erraline of our allies while I bit into a piece of steak.

"That's impressive. Isn't it Flavia?" Erraline beamed. The escort merely shrugged and continued to cut her pork chops.

"I have some intel on Jack," I added.

"Kindly share with us." Erraline smiled.

"Well, he has ADHD and a multiple personality disorder. He's extremely observant too."

"That is horrible," Flavia commented. "Observant tributes are usually light sleepers, and your mentor here is observant. Those are usually your Victors. I suggest you form a friendship with him. So in the end, if you have to fight him, it'll make it difficult for him to kill you."

"Hey, when did our escort actually become helpful?" Draco snickered.

I stifled a laugh and took another bite of steak. I swallowed and nodded appreciatively. "I think I'm already on my way there. Jack asked me to meet him on the roof at twelve tonight."

"I thought sneaking out is against the rules," Draco pointed out.

Erraline shook her head, "That rule was revoked, so the tributes could interact with eachother."

"Oh."

After dinner, I returned to my room to take a shower and change into some more comfortable clothes then my training outfit. I played with my hair before finally decided to leave it out. I changed into a pair of denim shorts and a pretty turquoise blouse. I found a nice pair of flats and slipped them on.

As I waited for midnight to come, I started to wonder why Jack asked me to come to the roof. Was he trying to do what Flavia suggested? Get close to me so I couldn't kill him? Maybe he was just being geniue and wanted to get to know me. I sighed and headed for the living room, deciding to watch some television. Draco was sitting on the couch in his pajamas, watching a recap of the parade that was still floating around channels.

When he noticed me, he waved me over to come sit next to him. "Why aren't you sleeping? You should at least get two or three hours of sleep before you go see Jack."

"Don't know, guess I never really thought about going to sleep. It's too late now, it's eleven pm."

"Yeah. Um, Larise, I have a bad feeling about Jack."

I stared at him perplexed, "What do you mean?"

"I just... He's kind of suspicious to me. He's seems like a different person every time you talk to him, y'know?"

I rolled my eyes, "He has a multiple personality disorder dumbass. I told you this four hours ago."

"So? He could be dangerous."

"Isn't everyone considered dangerous? We're going to fight to the death in three days Draco."

"No. Not like that. I don't know how to explain it, but I don't trust him."

"You are not Leo, you don't have magical hunches that tell the future."

He laughed, "I wish I had magical hunches that tell the future."

"You're weird."

"I know."

"Still, listen to me Larise. I don't trust him for a reason. He just doesn't seem... stable."
