I've never had so many knots in my stomach. Sure, I've been nervous before, but not like this. This, this was nerve-racking, tearing my hair our, crying, nervous. And I couldn't take it. Right now, I stood under the Arena with my stylist, Pietro. I was pacing around like crazy, raking my fingers through my hair and ultimately crying out for someone to deliver me from this terror.

"Attention tributes, you have thirty seconds to get in your tubes. I repeat, you have thirty seconds to get in your tubes," a metallic voice rang out across the room.

"What happens if we don't?" I asked Pietro.

"They blow the room up."

I choked on my oncoming question and decided to shut up and get in the tube. Sooner then I thought, the tube's entrance closes and the metal plate I'm standing on starts to rise. Shit, I'm going to die. I'm going to die. I'm going to die. I'm going to— Holy fuck, the arena looks amazing.

We were surrounded by a vast mountainous terrain, and before that an incredible forest. The trees bearing fruit of all kinds with flowers dotting the bushes. The Cornucopia was circled by a thick stream that headed back into the forset. To get across, we had to swim.

"Welcome to the Seventy Ninth Hunger Games!" A cheery female voice rang out, which I reconginzed as Evvie, the Head Gamemaker. "Because this year is a Fourth Olympic year, we have a surprise for this year's games! The number of Victors changes everday! In the morning, the number of Victors will be shown in the sky. The minimum is one, and the maximum is nine. Today's number is seven! Happy Hunger Games and may the odds be ever in your favor!"

The countdown began moments after Evvie finished. Everyone poised their position to get ready to run, it seemed most likely most tributes were heading towards the Cornucopia. The countdown reached five, and everyone tensed, ready to move.

"Five!"

"Four!"

"Three!"

"Two!"

"One!"

RING!

I took off, dashing towards the Cornucopia, Casper, Karina, and Heaven in front of me. Simultaneously I dived into the water aswell as several other tributes. Karina reached the horn first and grabbed a sword. She didn't hesitate to slash at Casper's head, however he ducked. Heaven ran in and came back out with two tridents, she skewered the boy from the Capitol, Demos, and the first canon sounded.

I reached the Cornucopia and obtained a double bladed axe, slinging a back pack over my shoulder. Charity from Twelve dashed in, trying to snatched a dagger, Casper stabbed her in the back. I kept down the bile rushing up my throat. Her canon boomed minutes after, and Fen approached the Cornucopia. He yanked a spear out of one of the weaponry racks and headed back out.

I followed him, and two more canons sounded. I saw Murry fall face first into the ground with a spear sticking out of his back. Fen probably threw it. Charity's district partner, Ben was lying on the ground in a puddle of blood. Another canon sounded, though there was no dead body lying around, someone must've drowned.

"Draco!" Larise yelled, climbing out of the water, her wet golden hair clinging to her camp jacket. I ran back into the Cornucopia and found some throwing axes. Once I came out, I threw them to her. They landed a foot away from her and she snatched them up, and almost immediately threw one of them at Edward who had just pulled himself out of the river.
