N U M B E R O F V I C T O R S:
T H R E EIf only the gorgeous sunset was back in District Seven, behind all the leafless trees. Not in a man-made killzone. As dusk struck, and twilight fell, we set up camp, which would hopefully be camp for the rest of the Games. Well, for everyone else, I plan on leaving in the middle in the night.
Sierra can tell Jack about our theory, I can't stand another moment watching Raina and Jack together. I want to at least wallow in my misery away from public eye, is that too much to ask?
Karina disappeared about three hours ago, and due to the mysterious canon, my hypothesis was that she was dead. I was curled in a ball, sitting on my sleeping bag. I was alone for the most part, mainly because I wanted my sleeping bag away from everyone else. There seemed to be no problems between Sierra and Jack, but then tension between me and him was so thick you could bruise your head walking into it.
The sky got dark, and tiny white lights began to dot it's canvas, and that's when the anthem began.
KARINA YARIPAUV
DISTRICT TWO
DIED DAY FIVE[Karina.png]
Only one picture tonight, and it was Karina's. At least she can join Fen in the afterlife, they'll be happy together. I called first watch for two different reasons, one, I couldn't sleep, and two, I'm leaving. Raina was extremely hesitant (probably because of my threat earlier) but finally agreed and slipped into her sleeping bag.
So, here I stand with an axe and a torch, making sure no one is out to kill the other, because let's be honest, Casper and Parka are not going to make it up here without starving to death. They probably barely grabbed any supplies, and unless one of them had good survival skills (which I doubt) they're not going to find any food, especially with the wrecked forest.
I wasn't aware Jack was awake until he stood right in front of me. I frowned, my eyes narrow. "Shouldn't you be sleeping?" I asked suspiciously.
He shrugged, and took a step towards me. I was once again reminded of his immense height. "Yes, but I figured you didn't want to die, so I'm up," he responded simply.
I glared at him, and gripped my axe a little tighter, "What? You're saying I can't protect myself?"
"You're poisoned Larise, and you're going to die in about nineteen hours."
"I-I'm what?" I choked out. My knees buckled, and the torch fell, rolling away from me, and lighting the grass. Jack caught me, hooking his arms under mine.
"Remember those red biscuits you ate earlier? Those were glazed with the poisonous juice of Grauloc berries. You'll be dead by late morning," he whispered.
My lips were quivering, and tears were threatening to spill. "You... Y-You... You poisoned me..."
Just had to top off that heartbreak with some more heartbreak! Thank you so much Jack, like I'm not having a bad day —night, whatever— already.
"I know Larise, but I have a reason for it. Please, just trust me." Who has a reason for poisoning someone either then to kill them? What other reason could he possibly have that made him have to poison me? That sentence alone sounds like utter bullshit.
A sob bubbled up my throat, and I felt weak. My body felt numb, and but inside I was feeling all kinds of emotions I couldn't even name. "H-How can I trust you...? You left me for another alliance... for another girl... You poisoned me Jack, and you didn't think twice about it."
