Forty Three

I updated two chapters right away because im bored and don't have a life to get to. And I can't sleep very well so here I am. Here's your two chapters.

one week later

(Justin's POV)
Selena and I walked through the days planning and just spending our time together. If given her a ring two nights ago, on Saturday.

We were sitting on the couch like always, just watching a movie when there was a knock on the door.
"Ooh that's the pizza" Selena squealed and jumped up. I laughed at her and watched her run toward the door.
She stopped at the door and grabbed the handle while looking at her finger with the ring on it.
"God I love this ring." She said.
I laughed,
"Get the pizza." I reminded her.
"Right."
She opened the door and there stood two of the biggest idiots in the history of my life.
"OH MY GOSH GUESS WHAT?" Selena screamed at them.
"You're getting married!!" Za said, giving her a big hug. Harry laughed and also gave her a hug.
"Lemme see that rock" Za said to her, pulling her hand to his face. He looked at me and rolled his eyes jokingly.
"Leave him. You deserve more." He joked. Selena laughed,
"Never!" She said. She closed the door and Harry also looked at the ring.
"Yo where'd you get that kinda money? I want some."he said.
I laughed, "it's called two crazy moms."
Selena sat beside me and cuddled up to me.
Another knock was heard at the door.
Selena groaned,
"Harry go get the pizza." She ordered.
Harry shook his head, "whatever the soon to be bride wants", and went to the door. Selena smiled and looked up at me. I chuckled and pecked her lips.
"So what's up guys? It took us forever to find you idiots." Za said.
"That was the point" I joked. Harry came back inside with the pizza.
"By the way, I paid the pizza guy." He said, he brought us all slices.
"Thank you Hazzaa" Selena smiled and tapped his head.
"Dude what drugs are you putting her on?" Harry asked.
"Shut up, she's just happy. As am I" I said. Za and Harry exchanged a look. Then they looked back at me with smiles.
"Aww!" They said at the same time.
"Justin's in love." Harry said, patting Za's back.
"They grow up so fast." Za said, pretending to wipe away tears from his eyes. Harry jokingly nodded and pulled Za in for a hug.
"I hate you guys." I said.
"We hate you too." Harry said with a smile.

We decided we would go out and catch up more, all of us. We sat in a fast food restaurant and talked for what felt like forever. Harry and Za wouldn't shut up. As a waitress walked by Selena mouthed 'help us'

"So how many kids are y'all gonna have?" Za asked.
"And the boy will be named Harry right?" Harry asked
"Oh and at your wedding-"

"Shut up. You guys talk about it more than we do" Selena said, with a laugh.
"Well yeah, you guys have already planned everything. But y'all ain't told us nothing." Za said, putting his hand under his chin. I rolled my eyes and laughed.
"You're as sassy as I remember." I said to him.
"You're as much of an ass as I remember."

The waitress came by and Harry looked at her up and down, she blushed and asked us how we were doing. She looked at the table to put our drinks down and saw the ring on Selena's finger.

"Ooh, look at that diamond. Who's the lucky guy?" She asked.
I raised my hand and gave a slight smile. She smiled and looked at us both. "Well congratulations to you two, I hope you guys have a great future." She said.
"And are these the annoying friends?" She joked, referring to Harry and Za.
"Yessss." I groaned and messed up Harry's hair. The woman laughed and left us.
Later on when we were leaving, I went up to pay the bill. The woman looked at me and smiled.
"Keep that girl." She said. I smiled,
"I plan to."
I walked out after giving her the money and all of the sudden I felt a sharp, burning pain in my chest.

(Selena's POV)
I watched as a bullet hit Justin in the chest, and then I watched him go down. My mind went blank as Harry and Za jumped out of the car. Everything was a blur and went in slow motion. I stared at Justin's body, watching him in pain.
I wanted to get out and be with him, but I couldn't move. I was paralyzed, glued to the seat. My heart raced and then I came back to reality after hearing Harry yell at me,
"Selena?! Call the ambulance."
All I could do was nod. I called the ambulance. I looked at Justin's body and saw no movement. I heard the woman talking in the phone but I couldn't think.
"Hello? Mam? I can't help if-"
"Someone shot him." I let out.
"Shot who?"
"My- my fiancé."
"Alright, where are you mam?"
"A-At a Burger King."
"Which one?"
"I.. The one closest to the west Brooklyn mall." I tried to stay calm but I'd didn't know what else to say.
"We are on our way to you, mam. Could you tell me who shot your fiancé?" My heart beat fast as I heard her say that. It was real. I got out of the car and dropped the phone on the road, I walked over to Justin. He laid there, looking awful. Za and Harry were covering the wound.
And as I heard sirens going off, I felt myself getting tired. I let go of trying to stay calm, I let go of everything.
And I thought about one thing.
Justin.

As we sat in the waiting room for hours, a doctor came out. He had dark brown hair and some stubble on his face. He came to us with his cap in his hands and a tired, sad look on his face.

"We're so sorry, we tried everything-"
I didn't hear anything else. My heart stopped, I felt like I was drowning. I was gasping for air but I couldn't get any.
"We were supposed to get married. I was supposed to be the mother of his children. I was supposed to put his clothes away for him. And help him when he needed me.. And..." I stopped because I couldn't breathe any longer. I didn't want to believe any of it. I wanted to wake up and be in his arms. I wanted to forget about all of this. I wanted to go back.

I always thought that Cinderella was true. That I would find my prince and we'd be together forever, he'd be the piece of me that no one ever was. And when I  would find him, we'd be together for the rest of our time.
We'd get married. We'd have children. We'd love. We'd learn. We'd cry. We'd listen.
We'd do it all.

But something happened, that made me forget about Cinderella. And forget about happily ever after.

Because we were gonna get married. We were gonna have kids. We were gonna live. And cry. And listen.
And do it all.
But Cinderella was not real. And I did not, have a

happily
ever
after.
