Thirty-Two

(Justin's POV)
I started my car, still thinking about how we hung up on the phone. I did love her, she was my everything; my whole world. It's funny because before I met her, I didn't believe in love. Not after what happened. Love was a four letter word that had no meaning to me. She changed me so much, or as she would call it "fixed".

She hated when I said "changed" instead of "fixed." She says that she didn't change me into anybody that I wasn't before, she says that I used to be this caring, sweet, lovable guy that she was just bringing back.
She's stubborn, and so am I but that's okay. it's okay because no matter what we go through, we'll always be there for each other. No matter how much we say we hate each other, I'm not gonna let anybody touch her. I won't let her get hurt, I won't let anything bad happen to her as long as both of us are alive.

I drove down the dark, bumpy road. it was getting lighter outside considering it was almost six in the morning. I heard my phone beep and I checked the ID.
Selena💕
I accepted her call and said a "hello"

"Justin?" She immediately said.
"Selena we got off the phone five minutes ago." I said.
"I was just checking, okay! I'm scared." She said quietly.
"I know, it's fine... I'm close okay? I promise I'm not gonna let anything happen to you. I couldn't live with myself if I did." I said, re assuring her that everything would be okay.
I could tell that she was probably curled up in a ball or something.. I hated knowing she was scared. I hated knowing she was worried. I hated not being there with her in this exact moment not being able to hold her in my arms and tell her everything was fine and that id keep her safe.
"Can you stay on the phone..?" I heard her small voice ask shyly.
"I wouldn't hang up even if it meant dying." I said. She either blushed and covered her face or got more worried. I was hoping it was the first one.
"Where are you right now?" Her voice sounded through the speaker.
"Uh, I just passed a sign.. it said Kate Stripe Rd. Or something like that."
"Okay, remember go right and-"
"And down Lady Lick St. I know princess." I said.
"Don't call me that, Justin."she says.
"Why not?" I ask, smiling as I turn to the right.
"Cause I'm a teenage girl who lives I a street called Lady Lick and tried to kill herself. I'm no princess." She explained simply.
"You are in my eyes." I said, meaning every word. I'm full of sweet things to say tonight huh? I hear her adorable giggle and I smiled to myself.
"You know, you're adorable." I said, shaking my head.
"I know, you tell me a lot actually.. I kinda wish you'd call me ugly once in a while." She said chuckling.
"I can't because you're far from it."
"I'm sorry but, I've been holding myself from saying it this whole entire time but i can't anymore.. I love you so much."
I chuckle at her apology and turn to go down Lady Lick. Thank god I was seeing her soon.
"No need to apologize princess. I love you t-"
That's when it all went from 100 to 0. I saw a man in the middle of the street and I tried to prevent hitting them but it all happened so fast. When I turned and thankfully avoided hitting them, I crashed hard into a tree. I could hear Selena calling my name and asking if I was okay, but I couldn't bring myself to answer. I was hurting in every inch of my body. and then everything went black..
