Chapter 31
Bleu
I sat next to Graham in the waiting area of the airport. My eyes felt heavy, tired of waiting for the plane to land. Callum and Liv stood not far from us, talking about something that I could only assume was about Allie or Hector Macangus.
It had been three days since Allie was taken and already Callum had sent three search parties out to search the estate and another four to search beyond that. But nothing was found. Not even her scent or any member of the Macangus pack's scent for that matter. I had even tried a location spell and got nothing. All we could do was wait.
I knew that Graham was the most worried about her but every time I tried to bring the topic up, he changed the subject. All I wanted to do was help him through this but he was determined to shut me down. I couldn't even tell him that I was sure that she was okay because I didn't know if it was try.
Right now, she could be chained up, beaten or even dead.
I swallowed shaking away the thought.
"Are you nervous?" Graham asked, bringing me back to the present and the reason why we were here.
After three years, I was finally being reunited with my family. It was Graham's idea. I had tried to tell him that it wasn't the right time that we should be focused on Allie and Little Bee. But he just said that I was important too and that it was time for me to be reunited with them.
"Kind of," I admitted, snuggling up to him, "I mean, I have no idea what to say to them."
"Just be yourself," he suggested.
"But, what if they don't like this new me. I mean, look how much I have changed. I'm not the scared little virgin that couldn't even watch birds being hurt let alone human beings."
He chuckled, finding my freak out amusing.
"Are you freaking out?" I asked making him scoff.
"No, are you kiddin'? Parents love me and –," he paused, "Okay, aye. I'm freakin' out, I've never met a lass's parents before."
"Well," I started, "just be yourself."
He went to say something before he frowned, looking down at me. I stifled my giggles at his annoyed face before he learnt over to peck my lips.
"Ah, Graham," Callum started making us pull apart, "I wouldn't do that if I were you. The plane just landed."
"Really?" I said almost jumping out of my skin.
"Do you want to go wait at the gate?" Graham asked, taking my hand.
I frantically nodded, feeling my stomach do flips. Graham chuckled, pulling me up from the seat. My legs felt like jelly as I walked closer trying to spy them. My hands shook and my palms became sweaty at the very idea of hearing their voices again. I could feel my heart pound against my rib cage. God, I was so nervous.
"Calm down, Bleu," Graham chuckled wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
"I can't," I said, giggling, "Do you see them?"
"Mmm, I'm not sure what they look like," he said.
"They look like –," I stopped when I thought I saw the familiar black hair of my father.
The person stopped and was joined by a shorter person that was the same height as my mother. The people that surround them moved and I got a clear view of the couple. The man had the same grey eyes as mine and short black hair. His hands cupped the shoulders of the woman in front of him, searching for someone in the crowd. The woman, was looking around too, sharing the same long black hair as me.
"Oh my God, that's them," I said, blurting out the words, "Oh my God, that's them!"
Just as I yelled that out, Pappa looked in my direction and his whole face lit up.
Before I realized, my legs were moving and my parents were running to me. I found my way into my mother's warm arms and felt my father's protective hand in my hair.
"Oh God, is it really you?" Mamma asked in French, though I understood every word.
"Yes, it's me, I'm here, I'm real," I told her.
"Oh, Bleu. We never stopped looking for you," Pappa told me, hugging both of us tight.
"I never forgot about you," I told them, "I prayed every day. I always knew that I would find my way back to you."
Pulling back, Mamma cupped my cheeks and took in my features through her tear-filled eyes.
"You're so beautiful," my mother cried, "Look at you, you've grown into such a beautiful strong woman."
"We're so proud of you," my father told me.
"Really?" I asked, barely being able to speak, "I know I'm not the daughter that you knew anymore. I mean, I've done things that –. "
"Bleu, darling, your our daughter," Mamma said, tugging on my arms, "We'll always be proud of you."
I smiled, feeling tears stream down my cheeks. I had missed them so much.
"I believe you're The Alpha King," Pappa said, now in English, looking behind me where Callum, Liv and Graham were.
Callum took a step forward, offering out his hand. My heart jumped into my throat when Pappa took it, a sign of respect from both of them.
"Aye, it's nice to meet you," Callum said.
"And you're the same wolf that took in my daughter and protected her from Harrison?"
"Aye," he answered, "I'm sorry that we all couldn't be here to greet you but my brother just had a baby and my sister is -."
"Yes, we heard," Mamma said.
"And our coven has offered to help in any way we can," Pappa told them.
"Wow," Liv said, "that's really thoughtful."
"It's the least we can do," Mamma said, hugging me tight.
Sucking in a breath, I broke out of Mamma's grip and took Graham's hand, pulling him out of his hiding hole behind Liv.
"Mamma, Pappa," I started, "this is Graham, my mate."
They looked at each other with confusion even though I knew that they already knew about mine and Graham's relationship. They were both silent for a moment before Pappa offered his hand.
"Really?" Graham said, shocked before shaking it.
Pappa nodded, "yes, you protected my daughter when I couldn't and by the looks of things, she clearly loves you very much."
"I do Pappa," I declared, wrapping my arms around Graham waste, "more than anything."
"Well, that's good enough for me."
"Me too," Mamma announced, "and he's handsome too."
Graham chuckled under his breath, hiding his smirk by pressing his lips against my head.
"See, told you I was good with parents."
