Chapter 6: I started training after realising my junior is a Slayer

Part 1

"Hey, what happened, Ray?" Alan asked.

"What do you mean by what happened?" I replied.

"Don't try to act dumb. You fainted yesterday, and then today Rose's not sticking around you anymore." Alan said.

At a height of around 1.8m, with jet black hair and a pair of grey eyes, and a nice build, Alan was quite good looking, though he was not exactly interested in girls because he preferred playing basketball to hanging out with those of the opposite gender. Still, hobbies are hobbies.

"Well, let's just say we had something going on." I answered vaguely.

"What's that, huh?' Alan persisted.

I did not want to try to be rude to my only friend in school, but I was determined to avoid the truth at all cost, so I just said, "How about you talk to your friends over there instead? They're calling for you."

Alan looked over his shoulder to see where I was pointing at, and luckily at that moment his friends, who were ignoring us just now, decided to call Alan over.

Alan sighed, and as he got up to leave, he said, "You guys must have a couple's quarrel or something."

How I wished it was really like this, I thought. Firstly, Rose and I were not dating, and secondly, it would be much simpler if it was just a quarrel like that. But sadly, the truth was, it was not. And Rose and I both knew it.

This morning, I had walked to school with Angela only. Rose was not waiting at the crossroad anymore, and even though I knew it was going to be like this, it still dealt a blow to me to see with my own eyes Rose's absence. So I did feel disappointed when we walked to school, but luckily Angela had a way to make me laugh with her lame jokes. So by the time I came to school, I felt better.

I walked into class, and saw that Rose was already sitting at her place, talking to some of her friends. When she spotted me, she gave me a quick wave before resuming her conversation with her friends. So she did not try to ignore me after all. As Angela and I took our seats, I looked out of the window. My classroom had a view of the school gates, so I could see the students streaming in. Then I caught sight of a familiar orange hair. True enough, upon closer look, I saw Lisa walking towards school, looking flustered as somebody else walked beside her, talking to her. That woman beside Lisa had blonde hair tied in a pony tail, and she wore those type of suit for office ladies. At the gate, Lisa waved to her quickly before hurrying into the school building by herself. The blonde woman stood at the gate for a moment before turning around to leave.

"I wonder who's that...maybe I can ask Lisa later." I muttered to myself.

"Who's Lisa?' Angela asked, her face suddenly popping out of nowhere.

"Woah! You're scaring me!" I exclaimed as I jumped in my seat.

Angela snickered, and said,"Sorry. I was just trying to make fun of you since you were staring our of the window for so long. So who's this Lisa?'

"My junior."

"Oh? So Raymond is even stretching his claws towards his juniors...as an angel, I must put a stop to this." Angela said with a thoughtful face.

"Hey! What the hell are you thinking! It's not something like this! We're just friends!" I waved my hands frantically in denial.

"I know, I know, it was just a joke," Angela said, flashing an innocent smile that could make boys go crazy. Okay, most of them. Except me.
