"Babe, do you show where that pink dress is?!?" I yell out to Justin. I've been up all night vomiting, and that dress is the only reasonable thing that currently fits me. I have to get ready though because the kids have a carnival we promised them we'd take them to.
"It's out here. I got everything out for you." He walks into the closet carrying it "I figured you'd be tired, so I got them ready too. They're watching TV so we're ready whenever."
"Thank you so much!!" I happily take the dress from him and put it on. It's one of my favorites, but getting small way too fast. I'm outgrowing everything I have. At 6 months pregnant I already feel like 9.
I walk out to where they're all waiting for me and the kids get up right away. They run to the steps and wait at the gate for us.
"Everyone ready?" Justin asks starting the car. We all say yes, and he drives away to the carnival.
We get there and Justin gets Ben in the stroller while I walk next to him holding Kay's hand. The first thing we do is find a place to get funnel cake.
"Mommy what dis?" Ben asks pointing to it. I hand him a little piece to try "It's funnel cake. There's lots of sugar on it."
"I want some!" Kay reaches over the table to get some "I love it."
"Just don't eat too much." Justin stops her from taking more "You have lots of rides to go on."
"I not go." Ben cuddles up to me "It scawy."
"You don't have to go on, buddy." I hold him closer "You can stay with me while we watch Kay and daddy."
"Kay, daddy go?" He asks.
"Yeah, we're gonna go." Justin leans across the table taking him off my lap "When we're done I'll take you on the horsies like you wanted." Ben gets excited asking him lots of questions. Kay and I sit watching them.
"We go now." She decides. Justin hands me Ben and I follow them finding a bench to sit at while they go on the kiddie rides.
"Mommy!" Ben tugs on my shirt pointing at Justin and Kay "They up!" He comments on how they're about 10 feet in the air.
"Yeah, buddy, they are!" I laugh as he jumps around "Wave to them, they might see you!" He does so and Justin waves back.
"Mommy, you go on?" Kay asks as we walk to the next ride. I look to Justin to think of an answer for her.
"Honey, I can't. It might hurt the baby." I try to get her to understand. She gets a little upset, but ends up walking up to the line with Justin.
"Let's go play a game." I suggest pulling Ben away from the line. We find one where you can win a fish and play that. It should keep him entertained for at least a minute.
"Look you can win a blue or green fish!" I point them out to excite him. He grabs one of the plastic balls they gave us and throws it randomly.
"No work." He looks up at me upset. I hand him another and help him throw it the right way this time.
"Now you get to pick a fish!" I tell him once we finally win one. He walks up and points out the green one. His favorite color.
"That!" I get it for him and let him hold it once he's back in his stroller, hoping he doesn't drop the poor thing. "Let's go find where daddy and Kay are."
"I tow them!" He holds up the fish proudly.
"Yes, you can show them." I laugh at him. We find them and right away Kay gets jealous of the fish and needs to have her own.
"I want pink." She says before throwing the ball at random, somehow winning a fish on her first try. She didn't even watch or anything after throwing it.
"What the hell?" Justin whispers in shock "How did she do that?"
"I don't know..." I stand there surprised as well "I guess she's just lucky."
"I got it!" Kay yells running over with her pink fish "It Pinky!"
"You wanna name it Pinky?" I ask. She looks at me like I'm crazy.
"Yeah! And Pinky wuv Iceam!"
Justin leans over towards me, "She does not get any say in this baby's name." I nod my head agreeing with him and hold Pinky's bag so Kay doesn't drop it and kill the poor thing.
"Ben, what do you want to name your fish?" Justin asks as we walk away. We both expect the typical 1 year old answer of something crazy.
"Puppy!" He looks back at us from the stroller yelling. Justin decides to try and fix this one.
"Buddy it's a fish, not a puppy." He tries to explain this, but Ben doesn't care.
"He Puppy." He says again. We give up and go along with the idea that we now have 2 new fish named Pinky and Puppy.
Justin takes Ben to ride the horses before we leave, and Kay falls asleep on my lap as we watch them. Not long after, Ben is also asleep in his stroller.
"Do you think they had fun today?" I ask after looking back to see both kids are still asleep. They look so cute.
"I hope so. I didn't go on the princess ride 3 times for her to not have fun." Justin jokes "Ben seemed like he was having fun. He loved the horse."
"Yeah, he loves doing things with you." I smile thinking about it.
"That's because I'm fun." He laughs "And they love me."
"It's a good thing somebody does."
"Hey, I'm a very lovable person!" He gets defensive "So are you."
"I know I am." I smirk leaning over to kiss him "I love you."
"I love you, too."
