Unfamiliar Surroundings

I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing, but it took a while for me to register that 'my phone was ringing'. I just laid there and frowned at it, watching it vibrate off of the nightstand onto the carpet. I'm cocooned in a sea of soft white cotton, this isn't my bedding. I throw the quilt away from me and swing my legs to over the side of the bed, doing my best to sit up. I didn't want to move, this king size memory foam matress is like sleeping on clouds and marshmallows, I wish my matress was like this, I'd never leave my bed. I lean over to pick up my phone, but it rings off before I can answer it, typical. It was probably only Spencer, holy fuck! Twenty miss calls, My Dad, Spencer, Linda, Spencer's parents, what the fuck? A dozen texts too, what's going on has something happened? My phone starts to ring again, but it's Spencer's mom.

"Hello?"

"Hel.Hello Ryan? Oh thank god, he's answered Spencer, I've gotten through to him" his mom sounds relieved. I hear Spencer get the phone off of his mom.

"RYAN!! WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN?!" He sounds pissed

"Wh. Wait what? What are you talking about?"

"Your dad phoned my mom saying you two had an argument, you stormed off and you didn't come home all night! He asked if you where at my house, nobody knew where you'd gone!... Are you okay?!"

"Spence... Spence calm down I'm fine"

"You where supposed to come to the store with me, I tried ringing you to see if you were still coming but I cou..."

"Wait why what time is it?!"

"Like 4:30 pm man!"

"Holy f... I'll be there for asap but I gotta go so I'll see you soon bye" I quickly hang up. This isn't my house, where am I? My dad's gonna be so pissed! I can't believe even Spencer's parents were worried. My eyes search around the room for my shoes and that's when it hits me, I'm at Brendon's, I'm in his bed? I'm in his bed! I quickly turn around to see if Brendon is there but the bed is empty, I'm kind of relieved. I run down the stairs to find my shoes near the door. As I slip them on my feet I realise, how am I going to get to Spencer's, I don't know where the bus stop is, or how far of a walk it is. Brendon's car is still in the drive way but non of his room mates are, so he still must be here. I pace into the kitchen stopping immediately in my tracks as the kitchen goes silent. Brendon is home, but so are Josh, Tyler, Jenna and the brown haired guy I saw with them at the bowling alley. They've all stopped and are just staring at me and then they all turn their attention to Brendon, who like me, doesn't know what to say either.

"I knew it!" Josh says and slams his hand on the table "C'mon guys you owe me! Pay up, I win the bet!" They all let out groans and sighs, what were they even betting on?

"Really Brendon, you couldn't have just waited three more days before you boned this guy!" Jenna whines. Wait they were betting on how long it'd take before me and Brendon... 'boned' each other? What even are his friends.

"I had tomorrow night! Man I really needed that cash!" This brown haired guy I've never even met before is betting on my sex life? What the actual fuck.

"Actually   you can all keep your money in your pockets because we didn't do anything last night, we shared a bed, not like it's any of your business anyway" I'm a private person, I don't like people knowing things about me, it makes me vulnerable and I don't want to be, I'm afraid to be, people break you down easier, the more they know about you the more they have to hold against you! I maybe shouldn't have been so snarky with his friends after they accepted me so well last night but I couldn't help myself.

Jenna lets out a sarcastic "ooooooo" and Tyler begins to smirk. I don't feel comfortable at all now so I just turn aroundand head for the door. Fuck it I'll walk, I'll find the closest bus stop or train and go from there. I just get to the door when I hear my name called
