It's been 8 years since the incident. 7 years of war. I hated having to hide most of my life, I know my mother did it to protect me, I love her so much. My father was a different case, he would abuse me and blame me for the whole war. All of it, the assassins coming to kill my sister. And everything else. My mother encased him in a prison of earth, she was the embodiment of the element after all. I embodied water, my younger brother now embodies air, my sister had before she died, my father had fire. We could control all four, but only one person could EMBODY an element, it tended to be royalty. Well I suppose I'm writing this to tell you my story. I'll start here.
Dig and place and fill, dig and place and fill. I was learning how to garden with my mother and sister. I bent the dirt back over the bulb I had placed.
"No-no, Iris you mustn't use your powers to garden." My mother told me softly. I bent the earth away from the bulb, then did it with my hands.
"Done, Kana, lets go play." Kana was 13 then, so pretty and very flexible and free.
We went to play in the courtyard, there was a pool, a rock garden, a large ever burning fire and a large empty space, they're called element gardens, they have them all over our kingdom, the Pink kingdom specialized in elemental magic, we use them for practicing our it.
"Ris, catch!" She bent some water and tossed it at me. I caught it while spinning around and collected more and made a simple and harmless attack at her and she bent a rock wall up to block it. I bent her wall away and sent it in all directions. She bent it around herself and sent it to me, I caught it and giggled. I turned and ran to the pool, I dove in and bent myself up so I was standing on the water. I gave Kana a toothy grin and jumped, making a sphere of air to ride on. I sped out of the gates and Kana followed suite. We raced through the the streets and stopped at a bakery, only the the best bakery in, Oh, anywhere.
"Hello girls, what brings you here!" The baker, a middle aged woman from the Purple kingdom, asked. The Purple kingdom practices conjuring magic, thus best food and clothing and all sorts of things, we ordered a maple and chocolate chip muffin each and a girl that was my age came a few seconds later. I dug into my muffin and when I finished the lady spoke.
"This is Meya, shy little thing but warms up fast." She introduced us.
"Meya, you wanna play with us?" I asked, I didn't have many friends except a boy from the Blue kingdom which was on the other side of the continent, and Kana, but she was the heir to the throne. She couldn't always play. I smiled at the chocolate skinned girl.
"I'd love to play with you!" Meya smiled wide. I smiled back and took her hand, I ran with her and turned a corner.
"Be back for dinner Meya!!!!!!!"
"I'll tell mom where you are Ris!"
"Ris?" Meya looked confused.
"Iris, that's my name, call me whatever you like." I responded. We played the day away. I was dissapointed to hear the church bells ring 4:15.
"We should head home now." Meya said turning her head to the side.
"Is it okay if I come to play tomorrow?" I asked.
"Ya, after 10 though, I have to help mom at the bakery for a bit." Meya said with a smile.
As I entered the courtyard I saw a beam of dark green and black shoot at Kana, I screamed and she heard it and dodged it in time, she returned a large rock to where the beam was shot. Another beam shot and broke the rock. Another one went from behind, I put a rock wall in front of it, I was really tired then so that was all I could muster. I screamed for guards, or anyone, to stop this. I looked down and met Kana's eyes, the were glowing pale blue, she was in her element mode, where she was literally the air, I couldn't do that at will yet, to hard. Another beam was fired and The two culprits were shown. Kana couldn't move, one was using Marionette magic, keeping her in place. I screamed in horror as the beam hit her, I knew she would be dead, she wasn't moving, I got up and walked to her body, I shut her eyes as I had been told to do if I saw someone die. A tear dropped from my face and landed on her cheek. I got up and looked at the one who shot her.
"Why, just why?" I felt the anger rising to my face. I didn't wait, I had read about and old spell, Rose Junika. I knew it had all elements involved and killed those you saw as enemies. First was air, I got into a one handed handstand and spun my legs and pushed myself up, then moved my arms like waves and then stomped and thrust my fist up and did an ariel and a sphere formed, first air then water then earth and finally fire. I took it up and expanded it. As it went it turned pale pink and the assassins were thrown back, probably dead if it worked, if it didn't they'd have killed me, I was unconscious after all.

The next day I found myself in the infirmary with Meya being held back by guards. They looked at me and I nodded faintly at them to let her in. She ran over and held my hand, I smiled weakly at her. The nurse came up to give me some food, she kindly asked Meya to move a bit. She did and I noticed her mother was here too. I ate my soup and baked potato then fell asleep later. In pure bliss.

YAAY new book, 1020 words and hopefully a good chapter.
