I woke up in the morning with my dresses shoulder strap falling down my arm. I lazily put it up and went to the washroom to splash my face and wake myself up. I grabbed a bun from a platter in the hall and rushed out to the park I was told to go to, I saw a red headed lady in baggy pants an even baggier blouse punch the ground and the ground in front of her open up and lava erupted and she moved it like water. I stood and it solidified, looking like a gloppy looking mess. She noticed me and beckoned me towards her.
"Let's see what you have Miss. Attack with earth," The teacher said smiling faintly. "and the names Ntonei." I bent up a ball and shot put it at her forcibly, she tried to bend it away but I had kept my sphere of control over it so she couldn't control it, it hit her in the stomach.
"W-well th-that's s-something else altogether. Now," she regained her composure "defend against your own attack."
She mimicked my move, I shut my eyes and sensed everything, just how my combat teacher taught it. I felt it coming and- NOW!! I launched up a column of rock to divert it, Ntonei sent it around but I did the same thing again and this time she lost it. I sent it for her and she dodged it simply.
"Good, water." I took up some moisture and formed a ring around myself and punched towards Ntonei and ice shards shot out from the ring at her, I jumped and went into element mode and I forced the remaining water on her, quick and harsh. "Defend!" She hollered after she got up. She sent ice poles at me and I didn't move, I diverted them at the ground behind me, I smirked as she gave in
"Ok anything else I should know before we start the proper lessons?"
"Umm, I'm the water embodiment, I'm running to the war, and before yesterday I'd never heard of the secondary elements being bendable." I responded.
"Well, now you do." Ntonei smirked "They used to be taught everywhere in the pink kingdom. I guess not anymore. Anyway, which element would you you like to start with?"
"Hmm, metal please." I sat down.
"OK, Metal is probably the easiest." Ntonei stated. "Here take this," she handed me a chunk of metal, "Metal has earth in it, so imagine as if it were just a pliable rock." She demonstrated and shaped one into a heart, a sphere, and a knife. "You try." I took the chunk and closed my eyes and imagined a rock in my hands and tried to lift it in between my palms. I exhaled a breath I didn't know I was holding and breathed calmly I imagined it warping into an elemental circle, the pink kingdoms insignia. "It's working, if you're trying to make a blob."
I thought of drawing it in my head and opened my eyes. It was near perfect, I warped it into a whip. "May we start combat?"
"I don't see why not." I held the whip in a showy attack position. She sent a metal plate at me and I moved my whip to counter it, I took another plate from Ntonei, spun and sent it at her, she dodged it with ease. "You will have the upper hands with the secondary elements thanks to surprise and the fact that few people know of our existence." We sparred for another half hour.
"Water break?" I asked. Ntonei nodded. I sipped my water, I realized how thirsty I was and gulped down my whole bottle.
"Someones thirsty." Ntonei joked. "I think you've got Metal down and there are no specific styles for the secondary elements, you make them up yourself!"
"Now sound!" I cheered urgently.
"Ok, well, uh, sound can't move without air, so really you're just making a tunnel of air for the sound to travel through, the more compressed the air the louder the sound is, you try."
I channeled an empty tube to Ntonei and let air in through the middle and compressed it and yelled in it. Ntonei was thrown back and made an air sphere to slow her fall. "Show off." She laughed. "Ok well, are you sure you haven't taken second element lessons already?"
"No, I'm just too good." I said cockily (very cocky, that sounded weird). "Anyway, can we do lightning?"
"Lighting is a matter of splitting the positive and negative charges and using the energy to create a continuous charge of lightning, this is probably the hardest one to learn, Lava is harder to teach!" Ntonei demonstrated it for me, putting one hand up in the air and splitting her fingers apart and her other other hand down towards a metal plate we used earlier. A purple light spidered it's way to the plate and knocked it down, I went to pick it up, "I wouldn't do that if I were you, it's hotter than the sun." Ntonei warned, I stepped back and bent it up looking at the glowing red plate, I sent water to cool it down. I turned to Ntonei and imagined a plus and minus that were spinning around each other then splitting apart and opened my eyes, nothing. I tried again and again then eventually a weak purple light went out one hand towards Ntonei, it fell short of her by a few metres.
"A good start." She said "keep going." I did and I eventually didn't have to imagine the parts splitting, it just came naturally. We started sparring with each other and I started moving Ntonei's lighting.
For another hour or so we stopped for a breather then we got on with lava.
"Ok. Lava is super heated rocks, so uh you spin the rocks so much that friction heats it up and lo and behold, lava." Ntonei explained.
"That seems too easy. I think I've tried it before but I guess I didn't do it fast enough." I put my hands on the ground and spun the earth under my hand, it started heating up and it got softer.
"Faster," I sped up and it began melting, I focused on the earth and heat in the lava and moved it around with ease. I didn't want to toss it at Ntonei so I kept moving it around and I twirled it around Ntonei and then myself. "You're getting good." She clapped.
"Thank you very much Ntonei I will use this to get this war over and done with!" I bowed. Ntonei bowed back.
Sorry I didn't upload earlier.
