5 Years Later

Author's POV

"Get a CT scan and report it to me right away" Dan nodded as he follows me out the room. My hands fumbled around in my pocket.

"Doctor Son please report to the main corridor"

I stop, "Check the patient every five minutes and report to me if something happens" the boy nodded vigorously as he wrote down everything I said. "If anything happens you're dead!"

Walking away I head to the corridor. The hospital was a bit slow today which was a good thing. And yes to answer what you guys are thinking, I'm a neurosurgeon now at the age of 27.

"What is it Caitlyn?" She was the only one at the counter at the moment.

She rubbed her eyes and pouts. Looks like someone is tired. "Dr.Thomas would like to see you in his office" she yawned resting her head on top of the keyboard.

"Do you know why?"

"Nope"

Frowning at her I slapped her head, "Stop slacking off and get back to work" teasing her I run away to find Dr.Thomas.

"Enter" Dr.Thomas answered from inside. I opened the door and walked in.

"You asked for me?"

He looked up taking off his glasses. "Yep. Now take a seat" I nodded and pulled out the chair in front of his desk.

Once I was settled down into my seat he smiled. "This is short noticed but today tomorrow we'll be having some guests from far away come visit" he announced proudly.

"Who?"

"Secret" he winked. I looked at him suspiciously. "And why are they coming?"

"They want to see how we run our hospital. I guess we caught their attentions" this was the first time I've ever seen Dr.Thomas so happy and proud.

But either way what does any of this have to do with me?

"I would like it if tomorrow you were on your best behavior and not allow yourself to embarrass us"

Embarrass?!

"Dr.Thomas although I haven't been at this hospital as long as you have, I know how to control myself and I know between the rights and wrongs" anger was the word to describe how I felt at the moment.

Almost everyone knew that there was always tension between us two. He saw me as a threat and well I see him as a man with a false title of  being a Surgeon.

"That's good Wendy. As long as I don't have to worry about you" he stated while looking back down at the documents he was reading.

"Yeah well if that's all then I'll get going" he waved me off.

Oh how I wanted to slap him to the moon and back.

Closing the door behind me I looked at my watch. "11:23 pm"

Nurses and interns walked around the hallways.

"One more lap it is then" Whispering to myself before heading towards the hallway filled with rooms for the patients.
