I just yelled at Sophie, my best friend. one of my only friends. She's like my sister and I just screamed in her face, I'm an idiot. It's not her fault I like Mitch. But I still yelled at her.

After fixing my hair and makeup, I went down the hall to Sophie's room, I knocked. "Come in," she spoke in her soft beautiful voice. I envy Sophie sometimes, she's so mature and beautiful. Nothing can bring her down, she's sweet and she has an imagination like a kid, she dreams big.

The door of the bedroom opened and I looked at my gorgeous best friend, her hair was in a French braid and she was in a pink tank top and some denim jeans. "Oh, Alice," she hugged me and I hugged back, we pulled back and I stepped into her bedroom.

"I'm sorry," I whispered.

"It's ok, Alice. I understand. If I liked someone an they were with another girl at a party I would feel the same way." Wait, what? she must have seen the confusion on my face because she quickly replied. "I know you like Mitch, and I think it's cute," a cheeky smile appeared on Sophie's face.

"Oh." that's all you could think of, Alice, nice.

"I think you should talk to him, he's been texting me all day because you weren't at school and he was worried about you,"

I pulled out my phone and started typing.

Me: Hey, Mitch. Sorry I wasn't at school today, I felt sick

Mitch: that's ok. R u feeling any better? Can I come over?

I peeked over my shoulder and there was Sophie, reading my texts. She nodded.

Me: Sure, why not

Mitch: Great! Cya in a few!

I left Sophie's room and sat in the living room. Waiting. After a few minutes passed the door bell rang. "Sophie, get the door!" I screamed and she came running, literally.

There was some mumbling and than Sophie and Mitch walked in, "Hey, sickie." Mitch greeted me with his gorgeous smile.

"Hey, Mitch," I replied, turning my head to stare at the TV remote. Mitch and Sophie sat down next to me. "Are we just gonna stare at the remote or are we gonna watch something?" Mitch chuckled and so did Sophie.

"Woah, someones grumpy." Mitch teased.

"Had trouble sleeping last night, so, I'm tired. That's it," I said turning the TV on.

Mitch just left and now me and Sophie are alone. "Wow," Sophie breathed.

"What?" I was confused.

"You just spent a whole day with your crush and you didn't tell him you liked him." Sophie blurted, I felt my cheeks heat up.

"I'm proud of you, but now what are we gonna do about this?"

"We?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm your best friend you need my help." I actually did.

"Thank you," I whispered.
