Water Park (Wasabi x Reader)

"Wasabi, you know you're the best boyfriend ever, right?" I questioned him, hoping to get him on board with my plan.

"Well, I try." I could practically hear him smirking over the phone.

"And you know how much I love it when you take me on surprise dates..."

"(Y/n), I have to admit you're making me a bit nervous."

"I was hoping I could do the same thing for you. What do you say to a mystery date on Saturday?"

"I don't do well with surprises." He answered.

"But?" I urged him.

"But I trust you," he confessed with some regret, "I'll do it."

"Yes! It'll be great Wasabi, I'm positive you'll have fun!" I instructed him to be waiting for me, bathing suit on, by 10 am. I hung up and went back to planning our date.

Saturday morning came, and so did I... To Wasabi's door. He was waiting outside for me wearing his bathing suit and looking nervous. I parked the car in front of him and he hopped into the passenger seat.

"You're late," he told me. He liked to test me like this, to see if I really knew. I smugly pointed to the clock in my car, which read 10 o'clock exactly. "You're fantastic."

I leaned over to kiss him and smile. "I know." I turn the car key forward.

"Okay, we're almost there, but before you see what it is, I just want to remind you how much I trust you, and appreciate everything you do for me so just don't freak out-"

"(Y/n), it's okay. I'm happy we're spending time together. I won't freak out, just relax." I let out a deep breath and smile.

"You're right. Oh look! We're here!" As we drove into the parking lot, the setting in front of us grew bigger and bigger. The outdoor water park stood right on the other side of the entrance gate. We hopped out from the car together and looked at the entrance.

Wasabi stared at the towering colors of the twisting, turning water slides with wide eye. He couldn't look away from them. "You know, suddenly and for no reason at all I've decided to go home." He started to turn around, but I grabbed his hand.

"Sure you did," I laugh, "come on."

After getting tickets, finding chairs, and locking up our stuff, we were ready to find our first ride. He wanted to do the lazy river, but I knew we had to dive right in. We were standing in line for a tube slide, Wasabi was incredibly nervous but I held his hand and we talked together.

The time had finally come, we reached the front of the line and hopped into the tube together. I sat in front of him, but reached back to hold his hand as we waited for the light to turn green, and the mechanical gates to open.

"We're going to be fine." I tell him and he nods.

"Yeah, exactly, everything will be fine." He tries to convince himself. "We're going to be alright, and we'll have fun, and-oh no it's starting!" The light turns green and the doors holding us back open. We inch forward slowly but certainly. "(Y/N), if we don't make it out alive, I want you to know that I love y- AAAAHHHHH!!!"

We enter the tunnel and the first drop makes us go faster. My boyfriend yells behind me, and I'm worried this wasn't such a great idea. But halfway through, I realized that his yelling turned into screams of excitement and I laugh and scream with him.

At the bottom we let our laughing die down, and struggle to get out of the tube. We step out of the pool and he pulls me into a hug. "Okay, that was fun." We pull away to look at each other's smiling faces.

"I'm glad you liked it." A moment of silence fell between us. "Now, what was it you were going to say earlier?" I smirked, knowingly. He suddenly dropped eye contact with me.

"Uh, I wasn't saying anything. I just, uh, it-it was nothing and I didn't mean to say it now I was going to do something special and I blew it-"

I held his face with my hands and kissed him. "I love you."

Wasabi smiles. "I love you too."

We share another kiss quickly and look at the end of the line for the ride we were just on. "Do you want to go again?" I ask. He smiles as if I read his mind. I jump onto his back, he holds my legs near his waist and I wrap one arm around his neck, pointing the other at the end of the line. "Onward!"
