I was jolted awake and dragged out the door and across a field into another building and placed back on another cot. All I could hear were sirens, but I couldn't see anything. Straps were wrapped around my ankles and wrists and multiple needles were being poked into me. My vision slowly started to come back and I noticed many other people rummaging around throughout the room, four or five at computers typing away and three others poking and prodding at me with needles. I noticed one of the people taking my blood was the dark haired nurse from the hospital when I got shot. I heard the door open and slam shut and Nolan was standing at the end of the bed.
"What's going on?" I asked anxiously
"We have an intruder in the main building but don't worry it's being handled, we just moved you here to make sure you were safely hidden, now we are just running a few tests to finish our research."
"What do you want with me?"
"Well if our superstitions are correct, then we will do everything in our power to keep you alive because you could be severely dangerous."
"When can I see my sister?"
"Why don't you say hi to her right now?" He said as Isabel looked up from typing on the computer.
"Hi Anna" she said.
"I want to talk to her privately." I said to Nolan.
"Five minutes." He said and left the room with everyone else following behind him.
"What's going on?" I asked Isabel once everyone was gone.
"There is an intruder in the main building so they hid you in here..."
"I know that, I mean what is really going on? Who broke in? What does he mean, 'I could be severely dangerous if I died.' What is really going on Isabel?"
"Well I guess I should start with the fact that they are having me study your friends as well and Sam recently booked a plane ticket to Richmond so they are worried that your friends might be trying to find a way to get you out of here again, right now the intruder is just another rival gang although we don't know what they want, and I don't know how to put this but they think our grandfather discovered a secret city in the islands of Seychelles off the coast of Africa and the only one who will ever be able to figure it all out is you."
"What makes them think that?"
"I'm not sure I think there's a rumor that he left Grandma's necklace to you but its hidden somewhere secretly that only you will ever be able to find. From what I can understand Nolan's apparently been focusing on this for years, even before I was ever here."
"Why is he so obsessed with it?"
"I'm not sure but I think Nolan and Grandpa used to be partners and Grandpa left him when he married Grandma so when he discovered the hidden city Nolan was supposed to be there but he never found it. So he feels like he still is destined to discover the city and what it holds."
"Okay, how am I dangerous if I'm dead though?"
"Because then you'll never discover the clues to the location and they'll be lost in history forever and Nolan will never find the hidden city."
"Okay so..."
"Your five minutes are up!" Nolan said as he entered the room with the rest of the people behind him. "I assume you've finished talking, correct?"
"Yes, I was just getting back to my work." Isabel said and went back to typing away on the computer.
"Good, now I checked in with the main building just to see how things are going up there, and we got the situation handled. So we will just finish up in here and then move you back to your room." He explained before he started to walk around and talk to everyone in the room about what they had found.
