"You're going down." I tease, rendering a smirk from the black haired boy before me.

"Says you." His multicoloured eyes clash with the camouflage pattern of his clothes, smile wide and cheeks flushed.

"Bring it!" He wraps an arm around my waist, kissing the side of my head.

"Darling this isn't a video game, you don't even know how to play."

"I know, but I kick ass at Halo and I even dressed the part." I gesture to myself, my entire outfit consisting entirely of black, like usual, but the perfect camouflage for this occasion.

"Fine, then may the best person win." He smiles, reaching out his hand which I shake. They hand us our gear, lighting it up, and sending us off.

The adrenaline rushes throughout my system, pushing me forward. I kneel with my side against the wall, waiting for the opportunity to run, my gun held closely, finger on the trigger, ready. My mind buzzes with plans, strategizing my attack, just like I would in a video game, but of course, all my training has come from Halo.

I know they're close, I have to hide, I can't stay out in the open like this, I'm to exposed. The room's entirely black, lit by the seemingly random variety of neon lights plastered against the walls and all the different obstacles. I was thankful for my outfit, the lights being the only thing giving me away, even though they contrast with the walls.

I slowly make my way to my feet, edging along the wall. Deciding that they had all left, I run, almost screaming in surprise as something grabs my wrist. The next second all I knew was I was being pressed up against the wall, my gun was hanging by my side thanks to my shoulder strap, and someones lips were on my own.

I know it's Phil, everything about him is familiar, his touch, taste, scent. I kiss back on instinct, raising my hands to his neck, feeling him smile against my lips.

He pulls away after a few moments, cheeks flushed, smile wide. He leans towards me again, raising his lips to my ear.

"I win." He whispers, confusing me until he pulls back slightly and I hear the alarm signalling I'd been hit, out of the game. He laughs as I glare teasingly at him. That sneaky bastard.

"Hey! You little shit, that's not fair, that's cheating!" I gently push him away as he laughs.

"Why? You dropped your gun, s'not my fault you got distracted." He winks at me, rising the blush in my cheeks. We pause for a moment as the lights turn on, signalling the games end.

"Looks like we won." He boasts, flinging his gun over his shoulder, then immediately dropping it, causing the boy to blush from embarrassment.

"Smooth, now shut up." I whine, somewhat stubbornly resisting as he attempts to draw me into his chest.

"You know you love me."

"You spork." I mumble, voice slightly muffled as I cuddle into his chest. He just laughs, kissing my head before pulling back, entwining our fingers, and leading me out of the games room.
