I almost believed that what Marlo did before was right. Na tamang umalis nalang ng walang paalam. 

Because now, with these people whom I had spent time for just one night,  I found myself in tear-strained cheeks and tight hugs that no one wanted to let go. Maybe if I had known he was leaving that day, I'd probably bomb every airplane just so he can't leave.

Ikakadena ko siya sakin, or something like that.

Speaking of, nakatayo lang siya dun sa gilid, nakasandal sa wall. Pinapanood lang niya kami. Diba ikaw yung dapat na nandito. Ay, aalis ka rin pala.

Hindi ka nanaman ba magpapaalam?

"I'll miss you." Jenna whispered in my ear. I tightened my hug on her. Even if I was so scared of her before, we bonded through the night and I learned that she was more like me than I could've thought.

She and Hann actually dated at some point, she admitted to me. Also, that time in the studio, when she saw us talking, she can't help but feel jealous. 

He had a different sparkle in his eyes when we were talking. Jenna never saw that when he was in the US, not when he was with her - or any other girl, nor when he was with his friends there.

Sa akin lang daw talaga.

"DUDE!" The whole airport probably heard Sean shouting, tackling Marlo like a rugby player. Surprisingly, Marlo kept standing firm like a wall. Akalain niyo yun, ang lakas niya ha. Hindi natumba.

"J, coffee?" Jenna led me to the coffee shop. I wanted to see more of Marlo and Sean's dynamics but I knew better than to go against Jenna's wishes. This girl is like Supergirl's sister. 

As expected, the line in the coffee shop was long. Jenna had to ran just so she can catch their flight. As for me, I returned to the coaster alone.

At walang susi.

HA? 

"Tagal mo naman." Marlo said as a greeting. MARLO?

"Bakit ka ... nandito?"

"Uhm naiwan ng eroplano?" I looked at him in disbelief. I mean, he was with them, so he won't be left behind.

'Joke lang. I told you I already resigned remember? And we still have a project to do." He smiled and opened the driver's door.

"Ako naman matutulog ha." I just smiled at him and started the engines. Rico Blanco started singing on the car radio.

I smiled at the lyrics of the song. Turning to the already asleep man in the passenger seat, I can't help but let out a short laugh at how the song was so right on the target, for him.

Dito ka nalang kase Marlo. Dito nalang kasama ko. We have the world in our hands now, we can do anything.

Kung gusto palaging merong paraan

You know what I would probably say to Fate/Destiny whatever that is if I met him/her face to face? Probably a couple of curses for ruining my life, then a whole lot of thank-yous for bringing this guy back where he should be: RIGHT. BESIDE. ME.

Eto na siguro yung biyaya satin ng langit no? Baka nga magkasama tayong tatanda.

"Ganda parin talaga ng boses mo." Yeah right, I'm not the one with a hot-as-hell bedroom just-woke-up-voice.

Turning off the car radio, I realized I sang along to the last lines of Antukin. And I didn't even realize that it woke him up.

"Sorry."

"For?" 

"Singing? Nagising kita." He's mumbling something but I can't hear it properly so I just decided to focus on driving.

"Daan muna tayong kainan. Sa gasolinahan." We're still in NLEX, tired and hungry. Best decision we have ever agreed upon on.

or not

"Di tayo pwedeng bumaba." He let out  a curse. "Zombie Apocalypse." 

"Takeout?" Don't you dare answer 'takeout' I swear takeout will be our always, Mortel.

"I'm paying." He said with a smile. Wala kaming always. Sad.
