Chapter Twelve

Hiiiii, I'm back with another chapter. Also I changed the cast of Aiden and Sammy so go see who they are now and tell me if you have anyone better. Anyways, I hope you like it.

Chapter Twelve

Sammy's pov

I sat on my bed contemplating the words I had said to Lizzie just the day before. Do I really like Aiden? I'm not supposed to like him. He's my best friend.

"I need some Mint Ice Cream." I said to myself. Ever since I was a child ice cream helped me think and my favorite flavor has always been mint. I walked to my bedroom door and slowly inched it open, trying not to let it squeak and wake someone up seeing as it was five in the morning. Once it was open just enough for me to slip through I walked down the hall towards the kitchen until I heard some voices whispering.

"I'm sorry honey but there's nothing we can do. The restaurant is falling under and there's no way for us to pay for the house." I heard the voice of my father say. In inched closer so that I could hear everything and still be hidden in the shadows.

"Yes but moving halfway across the country is not the answer. How do you think Sam is gonna react to this? We've loved here his whole life." I heard the voice of my mother say.

"I've already been offered a job in North Dakota as a personal chef. It will pay good money." My father said. I heard a chair being pushed out and the sound of barefeet hitting tiled flooring before my mom walked right past me, not even noticing me, with my dad right behind her. From the look I saw on her face, mom was REALLY mad at dad.

I walked over to our kitchen table and sat in the chair that my mom forgot to push back in, thinking about the conversation I had just overheard. If my dad did accept that job then I would be moving aay from everything and everyone. Most importantly I would be moving away from Aiden before I could sort out my feelings for him. I felt the furst tear roll down my face as I tried to think about what I would tell him.

I walked into school the next day with my head hung low and puffy red eyes. When I entered the lunchroom I walked over to the groups usual table and took my usual seat. Surprisingly I was the first one there.

I waited about five minutes befire Adam showed up. "Sammy, oh my gid what's wrong?!" He asked in a panic when he saw the state I was in.

"I might be moving to North Dakota." I tell him with a blank expression.

"Why?" He asks as he takes a seat across from me.

"My dad has a job offer there and he wants to take it." I tell him, leaving out the part about us losing our house. "The worst thing is that I kissed someone and I'm trying to sort out my feelings for them but that's probably not gonna happen before we move."

"Well why do you think you have mixed feelings for them?" He asks.

"Because I don't know if I like them as just a friend or if he's something more now." I say.

"Wait you just said he. Who was it that you kissed?" He asks quickly, taking note of my mistake.

"Aiden." I whisper as I place my head on the table and wrapping my arms around it to block out all the light.

"Wait you kissed Aiden? Why would you kiss Aiden?" He asked.

"I don't know." I groaned.

"Well do you like him?" Adam asked.

"Oh my god have you even been listening?" I asked as I lifted my head back up. "I can't figure out if I like him or not."

"Ok then, describe what you feel when you think about him." He said.

"I feel warm inside. I feel safe and at home. I also feel a tingle in my heart." I tell him and lay my head back on the table.

"Dude... you're in love." Adam says.

"Uggghhhhh." I groan loudly.

"Why a are you groaning so loud?" I hear a familiar voice that sends ripples of pleasure throughout my whole body from beside me. I look up to see Aiden standing there. "Oh my god, have you been crying? Why were you crying?" He asks quickly and sits next to me.

"I might be moving across the country." I tell him. He just looks at me dumbfounded.

"Adam can I have a moment with Aiden for a second please." He says.

"Um.. sure?" Adam says before getting up and walking over to where Kim was walkimg over to us and dragging her in the opposite direction.

"Okay what the hell is going on here?" He asks angrily. "First you kiss me, then you tell Lizzie that you have a secret girlfriend that none of us know about and now you're moving?"

"Aiden... the person I was tellimg Lizzie about was you." I said, staring at his face and looking for any sort of reaction.

"What do you mean?" He asks. His voice cracks as if he's about to cry and his eyes start to tear up.

"I mean that I'm in love with you too Aiden."
