Epilogue
Adam walked down the wet New York sidewalk before he sat down on some random bench. He needed to get out of the apartment, he didn't want to hear all of Aiden and Sammy's moans and all of that slapping. He smiled as he thought of what the neighbours must think of them.
They'd moved in a few months ago and everything was going swimmingly for Aiden in his music school. Everyone went out and got jobs just to pay for the apartment; Adam having got a job at the coffee shop closest to the apartment. Aiden would never admit it to anyone but music was his real passion other than Sammy and everyone in the apartment knew that and they decided that they would do anything in their power to help support him.
Adam felt a vibration on his leg and pulled his phone out of his pocket. He looked at the notification on screen telling him that he needed to be at work in half an hour. He sighed as he stood up and shoved his phone in his pocket.
He was looking down as he trudged forward and didn't notice the person in front of him until they had both already hit the cold wet ground.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry!" Adam exclaimed as he helped the person. The persons hood slipped off as they stood up and revealed a boy who looked to be about Adams age.
"It's okay, I understand." The boy said with a smile. "My name is Gale."
"Oh, my name is Adam." Adam replied, shaking Gale's hand. "Um.. I would really love to continue this conversation but I really have to get to work."
"No problem, same here. I hope I see you around." Gale replied with a smile before he walked away. Adam watched him walk away for a moment before he turned around and started on his long trek to work in the rain.

Adam made it to work in about 15 minutes which gave him another 15 to get ready. He walked into the back room with all of the supplies for the coffee and things. It was also where the uniforms were stored. He opened the small cupboard filled with all of the employee outfits that looked horrid. He rummaged through them trying to find the one that showed his name on the card attached.
"Hey Becca, where's my apron?" Adam called out to one of his only two friends at his new job.
The short dark haired girl popped her head through the doorway from the front with all of the customers. "I think Dominic took some of them to get cleaned." She told Adam, referring to the manager of the small coffee shop. "Alice said you can use hers till he brings them back." She added.
Adam let out a short sigh, running a hand through his dark, almost black, hair that had grown quite a bit since they moved. He grabbed the uniform that sat atop all of the others that read Alice. Luckily for him everyone's uniform's were the same size otherwise the outfit would fit him at all. Alice was a tiny blonde girl, she was considered the baby of the coffee shop and despite only knowing her for a short time, Adam already felt a close connection to her and considered her his little sister who was older than him.
Adam walked out into the service area once he had fastened the apron before he got to work for the day. Everyone seemed to be in a go mood that day, none of the customers tried to make small talk with him. Not even the regulars who knew him by name already and what he aspired to be in his life. Coffee shop conversations can get deep fast.
After about two hours of working and being bored, Adam heard the bell to the front entrance ring. He looked up to see a familiar face alongside one even more familiar. "Hey Adam." Aiden said with a smile as he entered the small coffee shop.
"Hey Aiden." Adam replied.
"This is the Gale." Aiden said.
"We already know each other. We kinda bummed into each other this morning and knocked the both of us on our asses." Gale said with a smile as he stated at Adam.
"Wow, that's funny. Anyways, Adam, Gale is a record producer and he came to my school today to look for new potential." Aiden said with a smile.
"And he found you." Aiden finished with a bright smile.
"Yup, Aiden sure has a gift. We decided to come get coffee so I could discuss some things with him." Gale said.
"And let me guess. Aiden chose to come here?" I asked.
"Actually I did. I used to come here every morning but I've been pretty busy lately. Anyways, I'll take just a black coffee." Gale said.
"And you already know what my order will be." Aiden said.
"Yes Mr. Valley Girl with you Chai Latte every time." I said with a small chuckle.
Aiden and Gale both chuckled before walking away and choosing a booth to st in while Adam got to work on their drinks. Adam listened to their conversation as he worked. He occasionally heard a few words but no one failed to hear Aiden's screams that echoed throughout the small shop after Gale told him that he wanted to sign Aiden.
