Chapter One

Aiden

Aiden groaned as he slowly dragged the covers off of his tired body and climbed out of bed for his first day of his senior year of high school. He then quickly got dressed and looked at his full body mirror. His hair was short on the sides and a bit longer on the top with a dirty blonde color. He had a sharp jaw and a slightly crooked nose( it was crooked from falling down the stairs when he was a child and breaking it). His eyes were a golden brown color with flakes of a slightly hazel color in them.

After making sure he looked okay he ran down the stairs to the kitchen. Making sure he grabbed the railing on the side to steady himself. His Mom worked morning shifts as a nurse at the local hospital and he never knew his father so he was all alone every morning.

He quickly poured himself a bowl of his favorite cereal, Captain Crunch, and scarfed it down before he heard a car honk outside in front of his house. He ran to grab his bag and dashed outside, already knowing that it was his best friend Sammy.

He climbed into the passenger side of Sammy's red Ferrari convertible. They drove off down the road in the direction of the school, keeping the top on since it was raining.They lived in Idaho and it was spring so it was basically always raining.

"What took you so long to get your ass out here?" Sammy asked with a smirk on his face.

"I woke up literally twenty minutes before you got here to pick me up. What took you so god damn long to get here? We're gonna be late now." Aiden replied, turning to look at Sammy.

He found himself staring at him. He looked at his squared jaw and straight nose. He looked at his porcelain skin and how the dim light shadowed his face. His favorite part about Sammy's face though was his eyes. They were an electric blue color with chips of a forest green color that complimented the rest of his face. Sammy was about 6'2. The same size as Aiden.

" Aiden, are you there?" Sammy asked, waving a hand in front of Aidens face, keeping the other on the steering wheel.

"What, Oh sorry I was just thinking." Aiden lied. With that they silently pulled into the parking lot of St. Jefferson High School.
