Chapter Twenty-Seven

Aiden

"I've been thinking." I said to Sammy as we sat in his car, driving to school. He seemed to be a little shaken from what we did yesterday but he seemed to be getting better.

"About what?" He asked, not taking his eyes off the road.

"We've been through so much already as a couple. Maybe we should just start over. Forget everything that's already happened with us and create our relationship in a new light." I said.

Sammy waited for a moment before responding. "But.. what we've been through makes our relationship that much stronger. Why would we want to forget it all?" He asked.

"Well.. maybe we don't have to forget it, just start over." I said.

"Okay." He said.

"Okay then. Will you be my boyfriend?" I asked.

"Yes." He said, looking over at me for a second before placing a kiss on my lips and looking back towards the road.

"Looks like we have another first date to go on. Its my turn to plan it this time." I said with a smile. I looked over to see Sammy shaking his head despite having a smile on his face as well.

One week later

I set up the perfect date. This time we would actually eat though. Sammy's father was now aware that the investigation was being conducted which made Sammy scared that his father would find out that he was the one who told the police. I felt like the sooner we had this date the sooner that I could get his mind off of it.

"Now I understand why you hated this." Sammy said from the passenger seat of the car as we drove down the road towards the restaurant. I looked over to see that he had fastened the same blindfold around his head that he had made me wear on the last date.

"I told you that you don't need to wear it." I told him.

"Ya but I want to be surprised." He replied as he looked over to me with a smile.

I shook my head and focused on the road. A few minutes later we pulled into the restaurant. I looked up at the big neon sign that read 'Chuck E Cheese' with a smile before I got out of the car.

I walked around the car and opened Sammy's door before helping him out of the car. We walked inside and I sat Sammy down at a table before I fumbled with the blindfold and pulled it off. He gasped when he could see.

"You didn't!" He said.

"Yup, the same place where we met for the first time." I said.

"See this is one of the many reasons why I love you. You remember all of the little details." He said turning his head around to look at me.

"Hey, you aren't allowed to say I love you yet!" I told him as I walked over to my seat opposite him.

"Well I'm sorry. I just can't hold it in." He said with a smile. I chuckled and shook my head at his cheesyness.

"Welcome to Chuck E Cheese. May I take your order?" A small teenage girl asked. When I looked at her she looked kinda familiar. I looked at Sammy as he gasped.

"Abby, from the MCR concert!" He practically yelled.

"Oh, it's you guys!" She practically yelled back. "So how are you guys?" She asked.

"Hang on. I'm a bit confused." I said.

"Remember those girls that we accidentally bumped into at the MCR concert?" Sammy asked. I gasped in realization as I remembered who she was.

"We've been good by the way." I told Abby.

"So what brings you guys to my place of work?" She asked.

"We're on a date." Sammy told her.

"I knew you guys were together! I remeber Denise saying that you guys were probably just friends but I knew!" She said.

"Well, when you met us then we weren't together." I told her. "Wait, Sammy how do you remeber the concert? I thought you forgot all that stuff?" I asked him.

"Some of it has been coming back to me, piece by piece." He said.

"And you didn't think to tell me?!" I asked.

"I didn't really think it was important." He shrugged.

"Abby, hurry up!" I heard someone yell.

"Oh, we forgot to order." Sammy said. I took note of the change of subject.

We both ordered and sat in silence waiting for our food. "Thanks." We both told Abby when she came back with our food.

"No problem. You guys have a good date." She said with a smile before she walked away.

"She's a nice person." I said.

"Yup." Sammy replied, his mouth already stuffed full of nachos. I laughed as he tried to shove another one in but failed.

"Don't eat that fast." I told him with a smile.

"Sorry." He said, giving me a guilty look.

"I have one more place to take you after this." I told Sammy with a smile. Sammy just smiled at me before returning to his nachos, making me chuckle and shake my head as I started on my own.

30 Minutes later

I laughed as I looked over from the drivers seat to find Sammy fastening the blindfold around his head once again. "Why do you still want that on?" I asked him.

"I told you. I want everything to be a surprise." He said.

"Trust me. Once we're close enough you'll probably already know where we're going." I told him.

"Doesn't matter." He replied. I smiled and shook my head. Sometimes he was just too cute.

I started driving and soon pulled up to a parking lot full of cars. I could already hear the music but luckily it wasn't the band we were here to see yet. I got out and helped Sammy out of the car again.

I walked up to a man who asked for pur tickets. I handed them to him and he allowed us inside. "Don't take your blindfold off yet." I told Sammy as we pushed through loads of people until we were at the front of the crowd and directly in front of the stage.

"Why?" He asked.

"You'll know when to take it off." I said, hearing the smile in my own voice.

Soon enough, the band I was waiting for stepped out onto stage. As soon as the music before the singing even started Sammy gasped.

"Is this who I fucking think it is?!" He screamed at me. He tore off his blindfold and looked up at the stage to see Brendon Urie standing in front of him. "I love you so fucking much right now!" He yelled before he jumped on me and wrapped his arms around me, kissing my face about twenty times. When he finally calmed down we just sat and listened to Brendon Urie sing Emperors New Clothes.

After the concert

"You stole my title." Sammy whispered as we drove home.

"What?" I asked him, genuinely confused.

"When I took you on our first first date you said that I was the best date planner, but this definitely topped that date." He said, looking over at me with a smile.

"That's cuz I'm better than you." I joked.

"Whatever." Sammy said, shaking his head and smiling. "I love you." He said.

"What did I say!?" I yelled at him with a smile.

"I'm sorry." He said, pouting.

"I love you too." I said with a smile. He looked up at me, smiling before he leaned over and kissed me.
