Chapter Seventeen

Lizzie's pov

I drove down the road, not even caring to wipe the mascara off my face. I pulled into my driveway and got out of my car, slamming the door and leaving it running. I stormed into the house, running up the stairs and into my room. I grabbed the needle filled with the green poison off of my desk before storming back out of my house.

"Lizzie.. what's wrong honey?" My daddy asked me. I stormed past him, not giving an answer and got in my car. I pulled out of the driveway and started to speed towards the small house that was my destination.

If he wanted to steal my man, then he was going to pay the ultimate price. I came to a stop in front of Aiden's house. I got out and walked over to a window that seemed to be open. I climbed in, not bothering to be quiet since I knew that there wasn't anyone here right now. Aiden was still at the hospital, and his mother was at work. I walked up the small flight of stairs and searched every room until I found the one that seemed to be Aiden's. I walked over to his bed and got on my hands and knees, climbing under with the poison in hand. Now to play the waiting game.

Aiden's pov

I drove down the road, smiling. Sammy had said just a few hours ago, that even without the memories of the past few weeks, that he still loves me. Which means he truly loves me.

I pulled into my driveway, noticing a car that looked similar to Lizzie's down the street. I paid it no mind since it was a popular car. I walked up to my front door, unlocking it and walking in. I dashed up the stairs and into my bedroom. I pulled off my jacket and threw it on my bed.

I walked towards the bathroom. When I reached for the door handle I yelled as I felt something small pierce my neck.

"He can never be happy with you. You can never give him what he wants you disgusting FAGGOT!" I heard Lizzie yell in my ear. Suddenly everything started to fade into black, until it was all gone.

Sammy's pov

I called Aiden seven times and he didn't answer any of the calls. I called Kim and asked her to check his house but she said that his car was there but he wasn't. I was really worried now. The doctors had already put a cast on my leg and my head and said I was free to leave. I asked Kim if she would drive me around town to look for Aiden.

"Ya, I'm really worried now too. His room is a mess. It looks like someone was looking for something. Everything is destroyed." She said through the phone.

"Okay, hurry over here." I told her. She walked into my room a few minutes later.

"Okay let's go." She said, helping me up and out of the hospital bed. We walked out of the hospital and climbed into her car. We drove around town for hours, trying to think of places that Aiden would be. Finally I figured out the last place that we hadn't looked.

"Kim, turn around. The bridge. His father jumped off the bridge." I said, remembering that Aiden's father had committed suicide a few years before by jumping off of the 50ft high bridge and drowning.

Lizzie's pov

I pulled up to the bridge after hours of thinking were to dump Aiden. Now he would die just like his father. Alone and wet.

I got out of my car and popped the trunk. I grabbed Aiden and set him on the railing. Suddenly I heard a car screech to a stop behind me.

I turned my head to see Sammy climb out of the car.

"Lizzie don't!" He yelled at me.

"Why not? He took you from me! He's just a little fucking FAGGOT!" I yelled, pushing Aiden over the railing and watching him fall to the water below.

I heard a loud bang and a sheep pain in my chest. I looked down to see blood seeping out of a hole in my coat. I turned around to see Kim, tears running down her face and a gun in her hand.

I heard Sammy scream as he limped towards the railing. But I realized l, he wasn't screaming for me, but for Aiden. I watched as he threw himself over the railing and into the water before I fell to the ground, everything going black and all of my thoughts fading into nothing.

---------------------------- A week later

Aiden's pov

I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. I was in a white room. There was an infernal ringing noise in my ears. I groaned and sat up, looking around more. I looked over to see Sammy laying on a hospital bed next to me. He had tubes in his mouth and bandages everywhere.

"Oh my god Aiden! You're awake!" I heard someone yell. I looked over to see Kim running towards me before she wrapped her arms around me.

"Careful Kim, he just woke up." I heard another voice say. I looked over to see Adam sitting in a chair.

"Where have you been?" I asked, my voice sounding like a wood chipper.

"I was in London with my parents." He said, getting cut off as the door opened.

"Oh my god my baby! Are you okay?" My mom asked as she rushed into the room and wrapped her arms around me carefully.

"Ya, I think so. What happened?" I asked.

Kim sat on my bed and started to tell me everything. "Lizzie found out about you and Sammy being together. She tried to kill you and Sammy jumped in after you."

I looked over at Sammy, tears rolling down my face. "So all of that is my fault." I said gesturing towards all of his new injuries.

"No hun. None of this is your fault." My mom said wrapping her arms around my head and kissing my forehead.

"What happened to Lizzie?" I asked. "Was she arrested?"

Everyone looked at Kim for a second while she looked at the ground. "Lizzie's dead. I- I shot her." Kim said, her voice cracking as if she were about to cry.
