Tristan stretched his shoulders back, adrenaline was beginning to punch his stomach, as it did before every mission.
After two months of searching and sitting on their hands, Maro had finally screwed something up and Carina had managed to get Chloe's exact location: a mansion northwest of Bellingham in the United Kingdom. It had once belonged to Gideon Malick, once a head of Hydra and a former councilman for the old World Security Council; Hive had done away with him soon after being brought back to earth according to Phil Coulson, so it was no surprise that Hive was now using the mansion for his on screwed-up purposes.
According to their spies, the mansion was heavily guarded from top to bottom and Hive himself was there frequently, along with the regular inhumans under his influence that patrolled the grounds. Unfortunately, no one knew exactly what Hive was up to in there, which made everyone even more nervous.
Tristan checked the levels on his suit, the newest model his dad had made was a pristine blue and gold, with a vivid red A on the metal shoulders; this suit was the most impressive one yet, it would give him an edge.
"Alright, Nathan, Austin- you're with me," Steve announced through the com channel, he was already below deck readying his bad-ass motorbike.
"Got it," Nathan replied, attaching his multi-purpose bow to his back," Just give the word, chief."
The doors of the quinjet opened and the wind blew back Tristan's hair, once Steve signaled, his bike dropped down and Nathan and Austin dropped down, using the thrusters Tony had given to each of them to keep them from splatting on the ground.
"Lets go, son!" Tony shouted, appearing next to the jet in his favored red and gold suit. After the suit had finished completely covering Tristan, he jumped, firing up the thrusters to catch up with his father. The suit dipped, diving beneath Iron Man, Tristan used a missile to take out several drones that had been sent after them. This part of the job used to scare him when he had been younger, but now it was just second-nature.
"Incoming fire to your left, sir," Jarvis said in Tristan's ear.
Tristan dodged the shots in the nick-of-time, twisting up in the air.
"Thanks for the heads-up, Jarvis!" he snapped irritably, watching as Clint and Natasha landed on the grounds below them, going to work on a pair of inhumans.
"Apologies, sir; you're approaching the mansion now," Jarvis announced.
Looking back up, Tristan spotted the giant Mansion up ahead, looming over the grounds like death...if death was a giant mansion belonging to a psycho terrorist. After scanning the building once, he found that it was shielded.
"Dad, it's shielded by some kind of energy force field," he told Tony, moving to the side to get a better view," and there are snipers on top."
"It's a one-way energy field," Tony replied," Jarvis?"
"If hit in the precise spot with enough force, the whole shield will collapse," Jarvis told them," I suggest using the talents of Hawkeye."
"Yeah, I don't know about talent, but-" Tony was cut off as something black and leathery attached to his suit.
"What the hell?!" Tristan shot at it, blasting whatever it was off of his father before he could crash.
"Based on my scanner, it seems to be an inhuman," Jarvis informed him.
"An inhuman?" Tristan looked back at the thing zipping after them, it had a pair of giant bat-looking wigs and skin that looked to be covered in spikes; eyes were not present, but there were arms and legs connected to a torso.
