Even as a virus he could feel everything his counterpart felt, the love, the sadness, the anger, the fear; it was the most annoying thing to ever experience. He was supposed to be emotionless, unable to feel, he hated the fact that he had to go through someone else's emotions just to feel human, not that he even wanted to. As a virus, AntiMatter had access to lots of information and he had the knowledge and the power to detect whether it's right or wrong, but in his world not everything is as it seems. There are plenty of other technical difficulties that try to replace him, appointing a firewall, hacking into the system, but AntiMatter would only absorb whatever was left of the corrupted codes. He never gained anything from doing it other than power, which wasn't very fulfilling. His counterpart would make videos or talk with his best friend over Skype, he would arrange meet ups and would research for his next theory, but Matter was quite bored with his ordinary human counterpart. He grew bored with his affections, his theories, his humor, he wanted someone like himself. While Matthew is away from his laptop or cellular device then Matter would instantly conduct research of his own, starting with a name he constantly heard coming from his counterpart's mouth in a loving or humorous way. After opening millions of New Tabs and deleting the evidence left in the Search History, Matter had found written proof of this being's existence and read through the words rather than absorbing them. This particular counterpart was violent and prone to excessive amounts of rage, they were possessed by a child that had been stuffed into an animatronic puppet, and was linked to many other murders. Matter felt his code shudder with excitement as he had never heard of such a gruesome murderer... well, that wasn't true but nevertheless he decided that this person or whatever they were should be let out.

"Interesting, what a horrific display, it's absolutely delicious." Matter mumbled to himself, reading over how he killed his victims.

The constant error that lay over his left eye twitch in anticipation, could this be the start of something gruesome? He hoped so. With that thought in mind, Matter took it upon himself to reach into the code and bring this darkened beast to reality, confident that such an act would go well. The words twitched and glitched until the code was ripped apart before him, exposing textures, voices, and different fonts which created this character. So much had been put into this story that Matter could barely handle the amount of emotion being thrust at him, if this was the meaning of emotion then he might as well be a human, but there was no time for dwelling on human mental states. If anyone'd said that it was impossible to reach farther into a code then they'd be wrong, Matter's hand sunk into said code like jelly and felt around for any source of this character. It wasn't his first time creating a being like this, but the others had been failures as he'd made them from scratch instead of finding a canvas to actually build them upon. Something briefly brushed against his hand and in an instant he was tackled, sent sprawling in the emptiness of the computer, a floor was ultimately downloaded to prevent him from disappearing. The landing was rough and whoever tackled him immediately backed away like an animal, snarling and exposing black eyes with a white dot that was made to resemble a pupil. Matter groaned and stared at the being in moderate confusion, this wasn't expected, he looked just like a human if not a bit deformed. There were odd black streams trailing down from his eyes that were also black, he wore a long sleeve shirt with white stripes and black pants with white stripes. A keychain with a prize box on it hung from the loops, jingling with every breath he took.

"You... what did you do?!" He demanded, smashing his fist into the ground.

"You're stronger than you look." Matter stood and brushed himself off.

"TELL ME. NOW." His voice got deeper, as if overlapping other voices.

"If you must know, I simply brought you into this reality. Whatever world you came from can easily be reopened, but I need you." Matter explained, the error on his face pulsing as he adjusted his clothing.

"What the hell are you talking about? You don't make any goddamn sense!" He shouted, keeping a good distance between them.

"Why, Nathan, I simply brought you to life!" Matter smiled, flashing his green eye at him.

Nathan seemed to consider this, which only angered him further, and he smashed the floor again as his head throbbed. The journey hadn't been the best, a flash of light had appeared and he was sucked into it, he felt something touch him and immediately went to snap their neck. Unfortunately, it seemed that he'd only lost himself more and with some weirdo who seemed to be... glitching?

"How the fuck...?" Nathan growled, shooting a glare at Matter.

"I've done some research on you, Nathan Sharp, and it seems that you are nothing like your counterpart." When Nathan's eyes blinked with a thirst for more, Matter knew he had him. "In fact, I'd say you were stronger than him if it weren't for the disgusting bond he shares with mine."

"What do you mean?" Nathan asked, growing suspicious.

"Do you know what love is, Nathan?" Matter asked, his tone and face turning serious at the topic.

"Uh, yeah, I guess." Nathan was uncomfortable with this, he felt nervous.

"It seems that my counterpart and yours are in a... romantic relationship, which protects them from any of my attempts to... well, I want to kill them both!" Matter explained, adding a crooked smile to further prove his point.

If Nathan didn't feel uncomfortable he sure looked like it, but it was in a way that made him wonder why his heart was beating as fast as it was, why his face was warmer than it should've been, and why his eyes could never leave the man before him.

"You want me to help you?" Nathan asked, now clutching onto the prize box keychain tightly.

"Exactly." Matter smiled, his eyes returning to a normal brown.

Matter would be lying if he said he didn't find him attractive, he found all murderous beings attractive in their own way, but something about young Nathan struck him as... adorable? It could've been but the word has been absent from his vocabulary for decades, whenever he looked at the lost puppet he felt this aura of malice which made him shiver.

"I will, on one condition." Nathan stood and walked towards the virus.

"Oh?" Matter teased.

"Stay with me." Nathan outstretched his hand, avoiding eye contact.

The virus certainly didn't expect this but he could feel himself smiling, an odd feeling coursing through his code as if he were really human. He felt alive and he could tell that this puppet felt the same, for he was short of breath and his heart pulsed loudly.

"Gladly." Matter took his hand.

"By the way, my name is Natemare." He muttered, a murderous glare shining in his eyes.
