The king has introduced you to a chef. She is a kind WindWalker with old eyes and a fading purple mane. "Why hello dear," she says, her voice soft and kind, "my name is Lilac,"
You reply with your own name, the scents of food slowly drifting closer as the pair of you grow closer to the kitchen.

"The chefs of the kingdom have a very important job, we make all the food for the royal family, banquets, balls, and festivals. We are always busy in the kitchen," Lilac laughed, "Once we even prepared a big enough feast for all of the dragons in the kingdom!" She grinned at this statement, obviously proud of her work as the head chef of the WindWalkers. You reach the kitchen, it was a dimly lit area with hearths, fire-places, and crude metal pots. There were big wooden slabs where one younger WindWalker was preparing a deer.  As your nose enters the kitchen, ethereal smells batter your senses. Your stomach rumbles.

"Well, you are hungry aren't you?" She said with a kind grin.

"Here, its a WindWalker special," Lilac said, handing you a bowl with a near perfectly cooked mouse, with multiple berries and other fruits beside it.

"Thank you," you muttered as you ate more of the mouse, it was covered with some sort of tangy sauce.

That was the end of your tour of the royal kitchen, you wonder where you will explore next.

Food is bought and sold at a market place, where hunters auction off their finds to the highest bidder (basically)

Gatherers and chefs will do the same.

Hunter are sent out daily to gather meat and supply the village with sustainable protein. They have a daily quota that must be met, but not overdone, as they want to preserve the Wildlife for generations to come.

Gatherers are also sent out daily to find greens, berries, and other fruits. They work in tow with the farmers and help drive off pests on the fields. Some will travel outside of the fields and gather fruits and green in the forest, WindWalkers will also eat bugs.

Chefs prepare these foods, making cakes, bread (when the wheat is in season) and often prepare meat for festivals, and other celebratory occasions.

WindWalkers rarely eat their food raw. Most, if not all prefer it cooked.

(Some celebrations include:  Phoenix's fire (Summer solstice) Ice birds wraith (Winter solstice) Shadow Feathers (Basically their version of Halloween)
