An actual rant for once

Okay you are all in for a ride.

Basically I'm not naming any names but I kinda got in this argument with someone in the comments on a fic about the meaning of transgender. I know I could have handled it better and not got so angry or personal but they were being really small minded and frankly offensive and now I need to vent.

YOUR GENDER IS FOR YOU TO DECIDE

YOU CAN BE A GIRL I DON'T CARE

YOU CAN BE A GUY I DON'T CARE

YOU CAN BE NEITHER I DON'T CARE

YOU CAN BE BOTH I DON'T CARE

YOU CAN BE ANYTHING ELSE ON OR OFF THE SPECTRUM I DON'T CARE

YOU CAN BE A FUCKING HOUSEPLANT I DON'T CARE

BUT WHAT YOU DON'T DO

IS YOU DON'T CALL AN AGENDER PERSON A NOBODY

YOU DON'T CALL ANYONE A NOBODY

YOU ESPECIALLY DON'T CALL MY FRIEND A NOBODY

YOU MAY NOT AGREE AND IF SO THEN KNOW THAT I DISAGREE WITH YOU BUT I'M NOT GOING TO BLATANTLY OFFEND AN ENTIRE COMMUNITY BECAUSE YOU DISAGREE

JUST

ACCEPT

THAT

PEOPLE

ARE

PEOPLE

AND

MOVE

ON

AND DO EVERYONE A FAVOUR AND DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU SAY THAT SOMEONE CAN'T BE SOMETHING

NO ONE WANTS TO ARGUE WITH SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT

IF IN DOUBT ABOUT WHETHER SOMETHING IS ACCEPTABLE ASK YOURSELF THIS:

IS IT HURTING YOU?
IS IT HURTING SOMEONE ELSE?
IS IT REALLY ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS?

IF YOUR ANSWERED NO THEN DON'T INTERFERE AND KEEP YOUR OPINION TO YOURSELF

Okay I have slightly calmed down now but believe me I'm still furious.

I feel insulted and my friends have been insulted and that just isn't right.

I didn't mean to offend anyone in this rant. If I did please hate me quietly and inwardly and by all means unfollow but keep it to yourself okay?

And most importantly don't insult my friends.
