Recap

I watched nervously as the nurse flipped through the binder full of papers. When she finally stopped on a page, my heart skipped a few beats. "Ah, here we are." The nurse said, reading what was on the paper. Oh, hurry up already!

"The father of the baby is..."

--

"...Weston." The nurse finished and my heart dropped. I looked over at Blake who was biting his lip to hold back whatever emotions were boiling in his head. Then, I looked at Weston who seemed to be doing the same thing. This can't be happening.

"Are you sure the results are right?" I asked the nurse with my voice scratchy. "Yes, they are correct." She told me. Right then and there, my heart broke. I stood up and pushed the door open, running out of the doctors office. I didn't know where I was going, but I stopped at a brick wall behind a building.

I leaned my back against the wall and I layed my head back. I let the tears fall as I slid down until I was sitting against the wall. I pulled my knees to my chest and layed my head in my hands. Then, I realized it was raining. Actually, it was pouring. I couldn't see even a few feet in front of me through the rain.

//Blake's POV\\

"I'm sorry man. I—" Weston started. "I'm not mad at you. We'll deal with this after we find Kinley. Help me look for her." I told Weston. He looked at me and nodded, then we split up to find Kinley. "Fuck." I mumbled under my breath when I felt the huge raindrops pour down onto me.

I walked and I walked and I walked. No sign of Kinley. "Kinley!" I shouted every few minutes at the top of my lungs. As I sped up my pace, I heard a muffled cry. I looked around and saw Kinley sitting down against the wall. I sat down next to her and she looked up at me. Mascara dripping down her cheeks.

"You came." Kinley said, just above a whisper. "Of course I did." I told her, a little confused about what she meant. "I thought you'd leave me." She said, and I swore I could just hear her heart cracking. It broke me inside to see how hurt she was over this.

"Kinley, I'm not going anywhere. I told you I wasn't going to leave you, and I'm not. I promise I'm always going to be here no matter what." I told her. "You promise a lot of things that you never keep." She said, and she was right.

"I'm sorry. I'm going to change. Baby, you mean everything to me. This promise, I will not break." I assured her. "I love you." She told me, laying her head on my shoulder as the rain continued to pour down.
