Cassandra stirred in the bed. The secure warmth of Cullen's arms could be felt around her mid section. He'd spent the night tangled around her lower torso, her shirt pulled up to just below her breasts as he admired her flat stomach. There was no physical evidence she was even with child yet, except for perhaps her tempered nausea. Her belly was still even with the rest of her but Cullen couldn't help himself. He laid down, against her legs, wrapping his strong arms around her abdominal and rested his chin just below her belly button. He laid there like that for hours. He kissed her ceaselessly, feeling her smooth, soft skin beneath his lips. He spoke to the severely undeveloped child as if it were already able to hear him. All the while, Cassandra just laid back against the pillows, letting him be, running her hand through his thick blond curls.

Her fingers felt like heaven in his locks. He had trouble keeping himself at bay with her hands in his hair like that. She started at the front as he laid against her bare stomach. Then she pushed through it gently, weaving her expert hands through his mane of blond waves, curling her slim fingers into the back of it as she moved down. The palm of her hand moved over the top of his head slowly and brushed down through the back of his impatient follicles. She repeated this several times, earning drawn out groans and involuntary mollified sighs of sweet innocent pleasure. He loved the feel of her fingers in his hair, the way it seemed to relieve his thoughts of anything and everything else.

She used to do this nearly everyday. She'd come into his office and stand behind his chair, massaging and ruffling and pressing and brushing in the finest ways she knew. On the days that his Lyrium headaches would torment him, these moments would remove the pain entirely. The way she moved her hands so expertly and thoroughly caused him so much relish. The last thing he said to her before he drifted off to sleep was barely comprehensible through his appeasement. "I cannot wait for this baby to be born. She is going to be so beautiful. Just like her mother." He'd been saying 'she' ever since she told him. She smiled at his comment as he stayed tangled in between her legs and curled around her tummy, falling asleep with such ease. It did not take her long to follow suit, her hands smoothing over the bare skin of his back as it rose and fell with steady breathing.

She recalled the events of the previous night with a smiled as Cullen's arms tightened around her. She had wiggled only a little in an attempt to go back to sleep comfortably. "Just a few more minutes, Love." His voice was low and raspy, sounding almost disappointed. She smiled as she felt his lips on her exposed skin once again. They'd fallen asleep in the exact stance they woke up in. It was the perfect lonely morning. With just the two of them, things seemed quiet. Cassandra was glad to be so far away from the rest of the compound. She felt utterly peaceful. "You're awake." She stated as her hands found his broad shoulders and made circles in his skin.

His mouth pulled up into a smirk against her flesh. "Indeed. Did I disturb you?" He asked as he looked up at her. Her eyes were still closed, the sun from the window shining down on her gorgeous face, giving her a glow-like quality. He observed her with wonderment. She was such a beautiful creature to behold. Her face was all hard lines and firm angles with that stunning smile and complimenting scar, matched to her hard hazelnut eyes. But her body was entirely constructed of flawless curves and outstanding contours of luxurious and maddening allure. He craved to put his hands over every inch of her. She snickered to herself at his question and opened those beautiful eyes. "Not at all." She said as he took her hand from his shoulder and kissed her smooth knuckles as she watched. A grave red blush crawled onto her cheeks as she gazed down at him. He was about to go up to her mouth and kiss her when the door flew open.

"Father! Father!" Anthony ran into the room, running in circles it seemed as he called for him repetitively. He stopped as he saw the odd position the two of them were in. It was not the first time their son had caught them in compromising conditions and this by far was definitely not the worst. Cassandra and Cullen stayed calm, simply not caring that he'd barged in on them during an intimate moment. He was clearly excited about something and that was far more important. "Why are you hugging Mother like that?" He tilted his head as he asked the question. Cullen was still between her legs, his torso bare, his trousers low, her shirt still pulled up high to her lower chest. Cassandra blushed and looked to Cullen expectantly.
