"Dad!" She shouted, happily running towards her father who stood in the light of the lamppost.
"Daisy," he said, opening his arms, "What have you done?"
"I- I'm sorry dad," she said as she began to cry, "I just couldn't handle it anymore I thought he was gone forever I just wanted my pain to end. First I lost you, then mom walked out, and now he doesn't want an-"
"Shhh." He said, silencing his daughter so he could speak, "I know what's been going on. I know. But I can tell you this. He cares deeply for you, he didn't mean any harm. I'm sure he knows what he did wasn't the best choice. But you will be okay, honey."
"I just want the pain to be gone. I just want you back." She said, crying into his chest as he held her close.
"It will, I promise. But now isn't your time."
"Then why did you die? You wouldn't have died if she wouldn't have done anything."
"As much as I didn't want to at first, I realized it's my time. If it wasn't things would have worked in our favor..." he said, the rain continuing to pour down on the two of them.
She cried and cried, "I just want you back home."
"I know you do," he said, walking her towards a house in the distance. She didn't recognize the house, it looked very nice. "It's getting late, you need some sleep." He said as he opened the door for her, allowing her to enter.
The lights were off, but she still didn't know where she was. He lead her down the hallway to what appeared to be a guest bedroom.
He laid her down in bed, giving her a kiss on the forehead.
"I'll see you soon." He said, exiting the room.
I heard the door handle click as footsteps paced across the room.
Was I just dreaming? I thought, or what was happening? This is so confusing.
I heard the sound of plastic crunching next to me.
Who's here?
"I really hope you like these." I heard a familiar voice say, but I couldn't point out who it was exactly.
"I'm sure she'll love them. As with everything else she's gotten." I heard another voice say, "After all, her name is Daisy. But all that matters is that you're here for her."
The voice angered me slightly. But I couldn't point out who he was either.
"Yeah, I mean what kind of a friend would I be if I wasn't here?" She said.
Who's there? What time is it? Where am I?
I continued to listen, completely confused as to what the hell was going on.
"Hi, who are you?" I heard another voice ask as the door opened and shut abruptly.
The girl who was hear began to speak, "I'm Audrey. Daisy's best friend, and this is my boyfriend, Alek. Who are you?"
It clicked, Audrey and Alek were visiting. That explains why I didn't like the male's voice.
"I'm Colt, her uncle." He began, "My wife and kids are on their way up."
