A/N: AHHH I'M SO SORRY FOR BUGGING YOU GUYS BEFORE THE CHAPTERS. I wasn't originally planning on posting this evening, but I feel you guys wouldn't mind. Please, keep up with the wonderful support. Once again, I really really appreciate it! xx
I paced back and forth in my classroom. The day has ended and I had to figure out what my next step was.
I had Rose's phone number, as well as the information for transferring the deeds. I knew I had to talk to her first. Even if it isn't talking.
I sighed, turning the light off in the room before locking the door and walking out to my car.
Sitting in the driver's seat, I pulled out my phone and Rose's number.
Vito: Hi, is this Rose?
It wasn't long before my phone buzzed, a response appearing on the screen.
Rose: Yes. Who is this? What do you want?
I knew I couldn't give away my real 'identity', so I only left a few things out.
Vito: This is Vito. I have heard that the house Daisy is staying in is being paid for by you?
Rose: Yeah. What's it to ya?
From the few minutes I have texted with the woman, I understand how Daisy doesn't like her.
Vito: I was going to make an offer. Take the deed off your hands and pay the bills myself. That way if you want out of Daisy's life you can be. NSA.
At the same time, I texted Ashley.
Vito: I'm giving you the house. What you do with it is up to you. I will need you there tonight to fill out paperwork.
Rose: Why the hell do you want the house?
Vito: That's beside the point. Its a burden you don't need to deal with. I'd take that as it is.
Rose: Okay. Well I don't want any lawyers or anything. Meet me at the Burger King in a half hour.
Vito: Okay. I will be in a white dress shirt and tie. See you there.
I began my drive to the Burger King, knowing I didn't have anything else to do.
As I drove I felt my phone go off, but I refused to open it while driving. I could only think about how idiotic I was. Even though numbness was the only thing that became of me, I still wanted to break down.
"FUCK." I shouted, smacking my hand against the steering wheel, "Why Kyle? WHY. YOU SHOULD HAVE STOPPED HER." I stabbed, my outburst filling the silence of my car.
Then I had felt guilty, knowing he couldn't have done anything, and that it was my fault.
Pulling into the parking lot of the burger joint, I parked and grabbed my laptop case, walking up to the doors.
I grabbed the large spatula handles, opening the doors to be greeted with a greasy smell.
I knew the best thing for me to do was to order, so I approached the counter.
"Hi, how may I help you?" The sweaty, acne ridden kid asked me.
"Can I get a large Oreo milkshake and a large fry?"
"Sure. Is that all?"
"Yes."
"Your total comes to $5.73."
When I paid for my food, I stepped aside and waited. Once I received what I ordered, I made my way to a 'clean' booth.
Taking a seat, I pulled out my laptop, opening it to continue the job search I had began.
