A/N: GUYS I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS BOOK BROKE 100 VOTES AND 650 VIEWS BEFORE I FINISHED IT. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT EVEN HIT THIS MANY AT ALL. I AM SO THANKFUL. I LOVE YOU ALL <3
The bright sun shined through the shadeless window, for some reason, the air conditioning had been running, and the ice cold air chilled my entire body.
If only they made these blankets a bit thicker. I thought.
I tried to force myself back to sleep, even though I knew I wasn't getting any more. Jenna laid sound asleep in her bed not far from mine.
What are the odds that you would end up with two of the same people you were here with in August? I had thought.
Not only had I wondered about ending up back in here, the only person I loved and cared for returned to my mind. In attempt to get him off my mind, I leaned over, picking up one of the books he had kindfully placed in my backpack. One of them was the novel I was currently reading, and another was one I hadn't seen before, one that he had bought and surprised me with.
500 Reasons to Be Happy
I hadn't opened up the book, in fear I may be brought to tears. Though, just as I lifted my book, the nurse came in.
"Good morning, girls," the older woman said as she entered to check our vitals. As I was usually the first one awake, she checked mine first.
I was used to the routine, she would come in, check my blood pressure, take my temperature, and then move to Jenna. Then she would grab our water jugs so the nurses could fill them up. After that, we were able to go back to sleep for however long we had left until we were called out.
I rolled over, bringing my knees up to try and get warm, though it wasn't long before more people came in.
"Hi Daisy, I'm Mackenzie from lab, I need to draw some blood." The lady said, pushing her small cart in as well.
I sat up, rubbing my eyes.
"Could you sit at the end of your bed? And grab one of your pillows too please."
I followed her instructions, she had me fold the pillow and pricked my arm, collecting the red fluid in three vials.
After she was finished I had went back to lay down. I noticed our water jugs were back on the desks, along with our baskets, so that meant the bathroom was unlocked as well.
I took in a deep breath, staring up at the white ceiling tiles before getting up.
My clothes were neatly folded in the closet next to Jenna's. I plucked out my jeans along with a different shirt. Walking over to the bathroom I grabbed my basket and walked in, pulling the door shut.
I changed my clothes along with going to the bathroom. I made sure to put on deodorant and brush my hair, keeping it in the same pony tail it had been in. Quickly brushing my teeth, I finished freshening up before exiting and placing my basket outside of the door in the hall.
By the time I had my bed made, Brad had called into the room.
"Paris, Jenna, breakfast."
Grabbing my water, I walked out of the room and made my way down to the kitchen, along with the others in my group.
We all walked into the kitchen, scanning the trays to find our names. Seeing mine, I sat down and began to eat my breakfast... or at least try to eat.
I took a couple bites of the bacon and the waffle, but my stomach just would flip and turn from what I would attempt to eat. I managed to drink my milk and orange juice, but I couldn't seem to down anything else.
