You stepped out of the limousine and smiled brightly as the camera flashes blinded you. You waved and made your way down the red carpet for the award show that you were invited to, stopping so that the paparazzi could get some pictures. As you continued to walk down towards the interviewers, you saw familiar faces of celebrities and said hello to some of them that you had become friends with overtime. A young looking interviewer smiled at you as you made your way over to her. "Hi, Y/N! It's so good to have you here," she beamed at you. "Thank you guys for having me!" you smiled back. She began to ask you basic questions about your newest single that you had released a few months before and how it hit #1 on the charts worldwide. "Yeah, it's unreal even to think about it now. Like I never expected my music to become so popular and I really do owe it to all of my fans, you know? They have been so supportive of me and I cannot thank them enough," you told her as she listened to you and nodded. "Okay, so people have been dying to know this, and it probably is a touchy subject for you, so if you don't want to say anything that's fine," she said skeptically. You nodded your head and smiled at her kindness, but you already knew what she was going to ask you about. Reece. You had been a celebrity couple all over tabloids for the longest time. He was in a famous band and you were a famous singer, so word got around quickly when you two were soon seen together everywhere. You really did like each other, almost to the point where you could've said your first "I love you's." But like most celebrity couples, you guys didn't last forever and eventually your schedules got in the way of seeing each other. He was amazing, always caring and loving towards you. There were times when you really thought he was going to be the one, and that's what hurt the most. "So recently you and Reece have not been seen together at all, is something going on?" she asked you as you snapped out of your gaze. There was no reason to be secretive about you guys splitting up, so you decided to let the world know that you were done. "Yeah, actually we have decided to split up. I think that both of our busy schedules didn't allow us to properly see each other enough and it wasn't really working out as much as we would've liked it to. However, it was not a messy break up at all and we do not hate each other, it was mutual. He's still an amazing guy and I support him 100%," you told the interviewer in all honesty. "Aw, wow. I'm really sorry to hear that," she responded. "And there has been some word on the street that Reece was actually seen with a new girl a few times, do you have any input with that?" she asked as you looked to the ground quickly. You were informed of this as the Internet was blown up with pictures of him and a gorgeous girl, but he wasn't yours anymore. It was confusing to you as to why he moved on so quickly, only weeks after you two split up. "Um, yeah I have heard about that, but I really do not have an input on that, you know? We are no longer together. I just hope he's happy," you smiled at her. "Aw, and are you happy?" Your smile faded a little as you thought about that question. Were you happy? "I am doing okay," you said to her as the interview ended. You made your way into the show as you were escorted to your seat, but not before seeing a familiar blonde haired boy, it was Reece. He caught your eye, but you looked away quickly and continued walking. Although your breakup wasn't messy, you just weren't ready to see him again. The show went on and you actually ended up winning two awards for your music, which left you absolutely speechless. As the show ended, the crowds of people began piling out of their seats. You made it out into the open as you felt someone tap your back. You turned around, but your smile faded as you came face to face with Reece and the same girl you had seen before holding his arm. You quickly forced a smile, "Oh, hi!" "Y/N, how are you?" he asked as his voice made you shiver. "I'm good, how are you?" "Good! Oh, this is Madison," he said while looking over at the girl and smiling at her. He really did like her as he used to look at you like that. You shook her hand and continued to force a smile, but deep down you just wanted to leave. "I'm his girlfriend," she said to you in a rather rude way. "Uh, right. I should really get going. See you," you said before leaving Reece with his new girl before he could say anything. You tried to hold yourself together for as long as you could, your pace picking up as your heels clicked against the floor. You wiped away a few tears that were rolling down your face, praying that no one would see you, but you were too late. Camera flashes were going off as you tried to block your face with your hands until you finally made it to your limousine again. You quickly got in and shut the door, collapsing in silent tears as you stared out the window as the car began to move. As much as you didn't want to care, you did. You still loved Reece, but he seemed to move on already which broke your heart.
