Ch.36: Flirting with Danger

I was still staring at my son that was sleeping peacefully. The bruises weren’t healed yet and I looked around his room to see Liam asleep with Albany in his hands, Nouis was cuddling together on the couch.  They were pretty cute together and the door opened. I looked towards the door and I saw Cora and Erin walk in with some food in their hands. Cora gave me a small smile and I sighed at her. “Babe you need to sleep” Cora whispered in my ear and I just sighed. I wasn’t in the mood to argue with her at all. “He’s going to be okay babe I’m sure it’s nothing to serious” Cora told me while giving me a kiss. I heard Liam shuffle and Albany was quite awake and was looking around. Albany Malik has to be the cutest baby ever I mean besides my own kid. Cora handed the coffees to everybody in the room and handed me some coffee. I nodded my head to show that I was grateful. The doctor cleared his throat and I stood up immediately and started getting nervous. “What’s wrong with my son” I asked my voice with worry and was cracking. “He has acute leukemia but we caught in the early stages” The doctor said and I slowly sat back down. Unsure, how I was supposed to feel.  “Christian can go into remission if we start this treatment right away with Chemo or Radiation therapy” The doctor informed us. “Yeah let’s do it” Erin told the doctor. I opened my mouth but nothing came out. I grabbed my little boy hand. Erin’s phone rang off and she was talking in and nodded. She came back in the room and she held a small smile. “I have a job” She told me and I hugged and congratulated her. “What is it” I asked her. “I’m going to be working with fashion” Erin practically was glowing from getting this job. “Wow you love fashion” I said to her while giving her a kiss on her cheek. “Apparently my boss loved my sassy attitude she says I have potential to make it” Erin exclaimed to me. For once, I was I felt myself smile. We needed some good news at least for today. I was so happy for Erin getting what she wanted. “You guys can go” I told Nouis and Liam. “Are you sure” Liam asked me while putting a hand on my shoulder. “Yeah I’m fine, you should go visit Mrs. Malik and Nouis you should go hang out with Justin, he’s not going to be here for very long” I advised everyone and they all nodded. They all left except Erin and Cora. Cora was next to me while giving me a small smile while Erin was across from me. “Daddy what’s wrong with me” Christian asked softly. “Christian, son you have a sickness that medicine can’t take away from it for a long time” I whispered to him while brushing his hair that I knew was potentially going to be gone from chemo or radiation or even both. He might never get a real childhood. He might be stuck in this hospital for a long time. I really don’t want my soon to be tired or sick throwing up food or even not is able to put anything down. I want Christian to be able to go outside and play and trip and fall. I saw the bruises but I shrugged it off and acted like it was no big deal and I did notice the fact of him having headaches but I thought it was nothing so I just chose to ignore it. Why didn’t I follow my gut? A part of me feels like it’s my fault my son wouldn’t be in the hospital if I just told doctor about the headaches, the bruises. “So what you going to do about college” Cora asked me and I just stared at my son. “I’m staying here, I can’t leave Christian here and plus you need me right” I looked at Cora. She just nodded. I sighed. “Haz this isn’t your fault” Erin told me while grabbing my hand. “There wasn’t anything you couldn’t have done to stop Christian getting cancer” Erin told me and I just nodded. No matter what anyone said, I wasn’t going to stop blaming myself for this. I couldn’t breakdown, I needed to be strong for Christian, and he is so young.

After we left the hospital, I couldn’t help feel extremely bad for Harry. His first child getting sick, I really hope Christian could go in remission of this cancer. A part of me knows that if Christian dies, Harry will die along with Christian. We came back to Niall’s house to see Justin just causally sitting on the couch with no top on. “Hey guys you back” Justin said with a smirk on his face. “Yeah” I responded to him while sitting next to him. “So what happened” Justin asked Niall and me. “You know Haz and how he has a kid name Christian he has cancer” Niall told Justin. “Oh I’m sorry” Justin said sincerely. We just nodded. “You know Louis you have the most amazing eyes” Justin told me and I just shook my head at him. “It’s the truth” Justin winked at me and smirked. I punched Justin in the shoulder. I mean I guess it’s not shocking that considering he’s pretty much a flirt but it’s kind of shocking that he’s flirting with me. Justin put his hand on my knee and started rubbing. “Stop it Justin” I said to him while laughing. Justin leaned in and kissed my cheek and that’s when I heard a noise drop. I looked to Niall up from his seat and he was standing in front of Justin. His face was red and I couldn’t help but try to held my laugh in. “Don’t touch my boyfriend Justin” Niall glared at Justin. “Calm down babe, Justin was just messing around” I reassured him and got up and stood up in front of him. “And plus I only have eyes for you” I stared at him in his eyes. Soon enough Niall calmed down. “It was kind of seeing you slightly jealous between Justin and me” I told him while laughing along with Justin. Justin winked at me again. “Seriously babe, Justin and I are just friends and will always be just that” I told him after I calmed down. “Yeah Ni and plus I’m straight” Justin told Niall. “I highly doubt that Justin” Niall continued glaring at Justin. I sighed while heading to the kitchen to grab something to drink. I saw Greg there. “Hey Greg” I said to him. “Hey Lou what’s up” Greg asked me. “Well besides the fact that I think Niall might potentially beat the crap out of Justin” I said to him. Greg laughed out loud. “I see you met the jealous Niall James Horan” Greg told me. “That’s how Justin and Niall’s relationship has always been” Greg informed me and I just shrugged. “So what should I do” I asked Greg. “Nothing just let Niall be jealous, he cares about you a lot” Greg informed me and I nodded with a smile on my face. “To be honest I don’t understand why they still friends after what Justin did to Niall” Greg told me before leaving the kitchen.

Josh and I were just sitting his room as usual when I heard the navy alarm goes off and I looked at Josh shocked and Lance came into Josh’s room out of breathe. “We under attack” Lance told us and I looked at Josh shocked. “Zayn we need you to diffuse a bomb and fast” Lance said and I rushed to the deck of the boat. I saw a bomb on the deck connected. I had only had a few minutes to diffuse this bomb. I quickly knelled down and started to diffuse it. The bomb stopped. I rushed to the operation room and I quickly reported to my boss. He told me what to do and I knew instantly what do. “Fire the missiles” I told the people and they listened. After it seemed like an eternity and I rushed to Josh’s dorm room to see Josh was getting treated by none other than Tony. Tony didn’t hold a smirk on his face he was to focus. “Josh, are you okay” I asked him. “Yeah mate I’m great but you have a little cut on your cheek” Josh told me.
