The door flew open and I jumped back. Dominic stood there looking down at me.
"Oh, um, I didn't hear anything!" I blurted out. He laughed as my face got red as a tomato. He took my hand and led me to the couch.
"Calypso Regas, you are the most beautiful, kindest, and the strongest person I've ever met. I'm in love with you, and to me, that's all that matters. I love you." He stared deeply into my eyes making me blush and look down.
"Dominic Fabian," I started tearfully. "I'm in love with you too." I gave a watery laugh. "You know, I've been waiting for this moment since I was in kindergarten," I smiled at the memory.
"Out of everything that's ever happened to me, I kept going in the hope that it would happen. That this would happen. Dominic, I'm in love with you too!" He blushed.
"Vous êtes si belle." He whispered into my ear. I giggled,
"What does that mean?" I asked, even tho I knew.
"It means, you're so beautiful," he said, kissing my cheek.
"Merci." I said, wrapping my arms around his neck. I could feel his heart beating through his chest. He wrapped his arms around my lower back and held me closer to him. I smiled into the kiss. I heard my stomach rumble. He started laughing.
"Not funny!" I complained. "I'm really, really hungry!" I sniffed the air. "Wait..... Is that pancakes I smell?" I looked at him with a frown on my face.
"Yup!" he answered. " Matias and I made them for you guys." I jumped up into the air squealing.
"I love you, I love you, I love you!" I shouted excitedly. I ran to the kitchen where I saw the food laid out like a buffet.
"Am I dreaming? Quick, pinch me!" I said turning towards Dominic. He laughed and kissed me.
"Nope, belle. This is all real!" he said smiling happily. I gave a happy sigh and ran to the breakfast table pulling Dominic behind me.
"Woah!" He said laughing. "I swear, you're faster than a lion when it comes to food!" I sat down at the table with Dominic close by me. I looked down and smiled.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Thank you." I replied simply. He looked confused.
"For what?"
"For....this! For loving me, through all of my craziness! You've seen me crying, and my scars, and you still loved me." I looked down. "My dad used to say that no one could love me, especially because of the scars on me." I looked back up at him.
"Yesterday, on the porch, when you saw my scars, I could literally feel my heart breaking into a million pieces. I kept thinking, 'oh god no, he saw my scars, he's going to hate me! My dad was right no one could ever love me, i'm just an ugly slut!' But that's when you helped me feel better. You told me I was beautiful, and that my scars made me brave. You're the first person to ever say that."
He held both of my hands and stared deeply into my eyes.
'Oh crap, did I say too much?' I thought. I could feel my anxiety coming in.
"I don't regret a thing I said. You're perfect in every way. I don't know who would ever want to hurt you, but I promise, I won't let anything or anyone hurt you ever again." He smiled mischievously.
"Open your mouth and close your eyes."
"Why?" I asked.
"Just do it," he replied. I closed my eyes and 2 seconds later, I felt whipped cream filling my mouth. I laughed. I grabbed the whipped cream can from his hand and squirted Dominic with it, laughing.
"Oh, so you think this is funny, huh?" he said, trying hard not to laugh. I laughed so hard, my face turned pink. He grabbed the other whipped cream can and sprayed me with it. Soon after we were both covered in whipped cream, the cans ran out of the fluffy white substance.
"Oh no!" I choked out. "We ran out!" He leaned forward and licked the cream off of my face. I laughed and kissed him.
