I had never seen Rowan like this before. She was so determined to do this. When we got onto his street it started to rain really hard.

"I think we should go home, it's raining pretty hard and I'm getting soaked," I stalled, but it was obvious she didn't care. Rowan dragged me up to his driveway. It was pouring and I was soaking wet now. My jacket was absolutely useless, jeans drenched, and shoes squished when I walked. She let go of my arm and gave a small push forward toward the door.

"While you go tell him I'm gonna tell Matias," and with that, she walked off into the rain.

"Meet you back at your house?" I asked.

"Yeah, and bring Dominic," Rowan instructed without looking back. I watched as she faded into the rain. I took a deep breath and started up the walkway. My knees were getting weak just thinking about what might happen. What if he doesn't like me? What he just likes me as a friend? My heart was beating faster and faster. I brought my hand up to the doorbell and pressed it. When Dominic opened the door, I could hear my heartbeat. It was so loud, the people in China could have heard it! I looked into his sparkling green eyes and said,

"Um, hi." He smiled at me, but when he saw my wet, soggy clothes and my soppy hair, he looked worried.

"Calypso! Come inside you're soaking wet," he said.

"No! I just umm..... I have to tell you something."

"OK, cool. What is it?"

"The truth is, I've had a crush on you for a long time now and that's the only reason why I'm here. I'm sorry for wasting your time I have to go, bye!" I blurted out. I turned and ran into the driveway with tears in my eyes. But before I could go any further, he grabbed my wrist so I would turn around. He pulled me closer and closer, and soon our lips were touching. It felt like a million fireworks!

"I've had a crush on you for a while too," he said with a smile. I laughed, for what felt like the first time in years.

"Will you go out with me?" He asked, holding my hands and staring into my eyes. I kissed him again and said,

"I don't know, let me think about it."

He caught on to my sarcasm and laughed. It felt good to be in someone's arms besides my own.

"Hey, can you drop me off at Rowan's house?" I asked nervously.

"If it'll make you happy," he laughed. He grabbed my hand and spun me in a circle. I laughed again.

"Now that we're dating, I need to get you a nickname," he said with a smirk on his face.

"Um, that's OK you don't have to-"

"I know!" He gasped. "Belle! I'm going to call you belle!"

I started laughing at the thought. My dad always said no one could ever love me, much less call me belle.

"Oh my god," I laughed."Why?"

He stopped me in the middle of the sidewalk, turned to me with a serious face and said,

"Because you are one. You're beautiful, kind, and fun. You're the girl that everybody wants but is too afraid to admit because you're so beautiful and powerful. I've liked you since the day I saw you in kindergarten. I just happened to be the lucky guy that you choose over everyone else."

I started crying when he said that.

"No one has ever said that about me before!" I said inbetween sobs. I put my head on his chest. He gently cupped my face and made me look at him. He caught one of my tears with his thumb and wiped it off. He smiled and said,

"Well, get used to it, because that's all you're going to hear with me from now on," he said with a smile. I laughed and we continued to walk down the sidewalk to Rowan's house. When we got on the porch to her house, he turned to look at me.

"You're cute when you're wet," he said while laughing. I blushed.

"Omg you're soaked!" I said freaking out. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean t-" He cut me off with a kiss.

"It doesn't matter" he said as he stared into my eyes. "What matters is that you're mine now, and i'm not going to let you go."

I blushed. "Can you stay the night?" I asked nervously.

"Of course, belle."

When he lifted my arms to put them around his neck, my sleeves fell back. He saw the scars on my wrist. I bit my lip to keep myself from crying. A knot formed in my stomach as I started to slowly back away from him.

'Oh no,' I thought. 'Hes going to hate me, he's not going to love me anymore.' I started gasping for air. 'Dad was right, no one could ever love me, what was I thinking?! He saw my scars oh shit, oh shit, oh shit...' I kept thinking. But then, just when I was about to start running, he grabbed my waist. He sabelized me and the knot in my stomach got tighter. I was scared of what he was going to say next.

"Each scar tells a story," he started. "A story of how beautiful and strong you are. I don't know why you gave yourself this one, but I know that I'll do anything and everything in my power to stop you from hurting yourself again." I looked down.

"Hey. Look at me." He said softly. He gently pulled my face up.

"It's OK. I'm here now. You don't have to go through anything alone ever again." He leaned forward and kissed my cheek. He traced the new scar on the side of my face with his thumb. I smiled.

"Now, when Rowan gets here and when you go inside, you are going to go change into something comfortable, OK? I can see how uncomfortable you are in your clothes." Suddenly, I saw Rowan being carried bridal style by Matias in the distance. Dominic glanced at where I was looking and laughed. As they came on the porch, I could see that Rowan was happy with what happened.

"You can put me down now," she laughed.

"No," Matias said. "We need to get cleaned up. I'm going to put you down inside and get your pajamas to change into," Rowan laughed.

"OK," Then Rowan looked and me and mouthed 'I love him' I smiled and mouthed back 'Dominic is perfect for me. He even saw my scars!' Rowan gasped and smiled. 'I guess you two are meant to be' she said. 'Just like Matias and I' She opened the door and Matias carried her in. Dominic grabbed my waist and kissed my cheek before leading me on through the doorway. Tonight was going to be perfect.
