Toni's gynecologist appointment was scheduled for 11am. Toni did her morning rituals and did her hygiene first, then put on her clothes. She brought Kenny with her for support. Toni and Ken was too nervous to eat, so they skipped out on breakfast. They drove to the office and both of them were immediately called.

"Hello, Toni." Dr. Jackie said while shaking Toni's hand. She was the best doctor for gynecology in Los Angeles.

"Hi, Dr. Jackie, this is my husband Kenneth Edmonds." Toni said.

"I enjoy your music, I'm a big fan." Dr. Jackie said.

"Thank you, means a lot." Kenny smiled.

"Okay, so Toni what seems to be the issue?" Dr. Jackie asked.

"Ken and I have been trying to have a baby, and it looks like I'm not fertile. For the past six months, we've been intimate and nothing has happened." Toni sighed.

"It's okay, many women have tried and tried to have a child, but it doesn't work sometimes. I'm going to see what's doing on, so lay flat on your back." Dr. Jackie said. She applied transmission gel on Toni's stomach.

"Let's see what's inside." Dr. Jackie said. She moved the hand device around Toni's stomach.

"The reason why you're not conceiving is because you aren't ovulating. Your eggs aren't releasing from your ovaries." Dr. Jackie said.

"Is there a way for me to get pregnant?" Toni asked.

"There's always a surrogate. You can do that, or adoption." Dr. Jackie said. Toni sighed and started to cry.

"Don't cry, Toni. I'm going to try my best for you to have a child of your own. I know women don't want to hear that they cannot conceive, but it's going to be alright." Dr. Jackie said.

"She's right, honey. Don't worry, it's all in God's hands." Ken said.

"If it's in God's hands, then how come I can't carry a baby?" Toni asked. She wiped off her stomach with a napkin, then left the office, livid.
