You, Me, and Baby?

Kenny and Toni tried one more time, to have a baby but this time they both didn't have their hopes up.

"Let me take a test." Toni said. She peed on the stick and waited three minutes. The test had one line, representing that she wasn't pregnant.

"So much for nothing." Toni said to herself. Kenny walked in the bathroom and kissed her cheek while wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Stop beating yourself up about it. When the time is right, we'll have a baby." Ken said kissing her shoulder. He left the bathroom and Toni sat on the toilet seat, looking at the test. She wiped away her tears and threw the stick in the trash.

One week later:

Tamar and Toni were having lunch together at Tamar's house, just to catch up on life and it's obstacles.

"Hey living legend." Tamar said. Toni smiled and laughed.

"Hey you." Toni smiled. Looking at Tamar's stomach made Toni a little hurt and jealous, knowing that could never be her.

"So spill the tea. You and Ken been together, forever.. Where's my nieces and nephews at?" Tamar asked. Toni didn't want to talk about her issues, but she had no choice.

"I can't have children, Tamar. Pass the salt, please." Toni said.

"What do you mean, can't have children? You mean Kenny doesn't want you pregnant, or Kendall?" Tamar asked repositioning herself in the seat.

"I cannot have children, as in I cannot conceive. I'm not ovulating, so it looks like I'll be the only Braxton with no baby. At least I've got Kendall." Toni said. She started to think about her appointment and broke down crying.

"Toni, it's going to be okay. I'm here for you and I know it's hard for you." Tamar said.

"Tamar, I don't want to adopt or have a surrogate carry my child, I want to experience being pregnant. I'll be disappointed if I don't have children by next year." Toni said.

"It's going to be okay. I love you and Ken." Tamar said. Toni wiped her eyes with a napkin.

"Thank you, Tayme. We love you too." Tamar smiled.
