You, Me, and Baby?

thirteen.

Kendall, the sisters, Alecia and Ken have been planning the secret baby shower for Toni for over a month. Tamar and the girls have been keeping Toni occupied for the longest, meanwhile Kendall and Alecia have been making the guest list.

"Ready to get your nails done?" Trina asked. Toni nodded her head and looked a little worried.

"What's wrong, Tone? You love getting pampered." Towanda said. Toni broke down crying and sat down on the couch. Trina got tissues and wiped Toni's face for her.

"Kenny is cheating on me. He was the love of my life, the father to our child and now this. He's distant and he's so busy, we never spend time together." Toni explained wiping away her tears.

"How do you know he's cheating on you? You saw some girl with him?" Traci asked. Toni cried once more, and became angry.

"He's been on his phone, having early morning sessions at the studio, he's been smiling and laughing while texting someone. He completely zones me out." Toni's explained.

"Maybe he's texting other artists, he's a very important and busy person. Don't assume, just ask." Towanda said.

"Or check his phone." Tamar said.

"I trust my husband, with everything in me but I don't want to invade his privacy. His work stuff is not my business." Toni said.

"Then what if he checks up this act, would you still not check his phone? Because I would raise hell if Vince tried to do that with me." Tamar said.

"Let Toni talk to Ken, first and if he's lying then  you check his phone." Trina said. Tamar sighed and rolled her eyes, furiously.

"Whatever dawg, just know that we've got at 2:30 appointment, and it's 2:15 right now." Tamar said. All the girls got into the vehicle and Trina drove.

"Trina, you're never driving again. Ultimate road rage." Toni said. Towanda, Traci and Tamar clapped in agreement.

"I'll drive us back home." Towanda said. Trina rolled her eyes, and got out of the car. All the girls walked into the nail salon, and immediately sat down, getting pampered.

"Should I do a blush pink or get French tips?" Toni asked.

"Get pink, but I gotta go Toni. I have to pick up the children." Towanda said.

"Bye Umba, see you later." Toni said waving. Tamar got a text message from Kendall, saying to get Toni's parents from the airport.

"I gotta leave too. I forgot I have a doctors appointment, and I can't miss this one." Tamar lied. Toni became a little disappointed.

"This is suppose to be sister bonding, not ditch sister bonding time to tend to other responsibilities." Toni whined.

"You have Traci and Trina, you'll live." Tamar said. Toni caught an attitude and said something slick under her breath.

"I'm stuck with the worst drivers." Toni grumbled. Tamar kissed Toni's cheek and left the nail salon.

Ken was picking up his mother and father, along with his brothers, from the airport. Barbara Jean, Kenny's mother loved Toni, and so did Marvin Sr. Kenny's brothers came along too, from Indianapolis.

"Mom!" Ken yelled. He ran into his mother's arms and gave her a huge hug. He greeted his father and brothers, and drove them to the hotel.

"How's my grand baby doing?" Mama Jean asked. Kendall was the light of her grandmother's life.

"She's growing and getting sassier by the minute, but she's going to New York for school. She got accepted into New York University, so she's really excited about that." Ken explained.

"No boyfriends?" Kevon asked.

"Nope, but if she had one, she would tell us about him because we promised not to judge and we tell each other everything." Ken explained.

"My man." Melvin said while clapping his hands. They pulled up to the hotel, and checked in.

"See you guys soon. I'll tell the limo to come get you guys the day of the shower." Ken said.

"No problem, see you soon." Marvin Sr. said. Ken drove home just in time to see Toni entering the house.

"Hey honey." Toni said. She kissed Ken on the lips and pulled back with her arms folded across her chest.

"What's the matter? My breath stinks?" Ken asked. Toni's eyes filled with water.

"Kenneth, you smell like perfume." Toni said. Ken couldn't break the surprise. They were so close to the baby shower's date.

"I bumped into my cousin, Judith and gave her a hug, then I left. I promise that's all that happened." Ken said while wiping her tears with his hand. She shifted her lips and kissed the palm of his hand, while it was still placed on her cheek.

"I love you." Toni said while tears were building up in her eyes. He kissed her forehead, then her lips.

"I love you more." Ken said while kissing her neck.
