Toni made her way upstairs and knocked on Kendall's bedroom door.

"Come in." Kendall said. Toni entered her room and sat next to Kendall on her bed. Tears started to come back and she looked away.

"I know it's hard, but you're going to be a great big sister." Toni said.

"It's not that. I'm so use to being an only child, like I was the light of my dad's life, and now that title will be taken away from me. I'm probably overreacting." Kendall said.

"You're not overreacting. It's a lot for you and I both. You feel like you're going to be left out and I feel like I'm not going to be a great parent." Toni said.

"Toni?" Kendall said softly.

"Yes?" Toni said.

"You're going to be a great parent to this baby. You helped raise me, and look at me now. I'm a smart individual who loves everything I put my mind to. You taught me to never give up on my dreams. You always said "follow those who have sense and make great decisions", and that's exactly what I'm going to do." Kendall smiled.

"What are you trying to say?" Toni asked. Kendall placed her hands on Toni's lap, and smiled.

"I won't be attending NYU next fall, I will be attending Bowie State. That was my surprise for your birthday, but clearly I couldn't hold it in any longer." Kendall giggled. Tears escaped Toni's eyes.

"Oh KenKen, I love you." Toni said while hugging her.

"I love you too, mom." Kendall said pulling back from the hug.
