Renee had been looking forward to this night all week. She put on her best dress and headed to the bar. She knew she looked a bit odd wearing a nice dress and tennis shoes, but she didn't really mind. She had borrowed one of her mothers old dresses and makeup to wear. Her father couldn't let go of Renee's mother, her toothbrush and makeup was still in the bathroom, and her clothes were still in the closet.
When Renee arrived at the bar, Marcus was already there.
"Did you walk here?!" Marcus said flailing his hands to express his point.
"Yeah, I don't have a car.." Said Renee putting her head down.
"Can you please let me drive you next time? You are twenty minutes late, I was really worried.." After Marcus said that Renee got butterflies in her stomach.
"Someone really cares about me.." She thought, not knowing she had spaced out.
"Renee, earth to Renee!" Marcus said waving his hand in front of Renee's face laughing.
"Sorry, I must have spaced out for a second."
"It's ok, do you want to go inside?" Marcus said pointing to the bar.
"Sure lets go!" Said Renee incredibly excited to have her first night out in years. All night Renee and Marcus danced, talked, laughed, and drank, Renee might have drank a little too much.
"Seriously Renee, I think you've had a little too much. Have you ever drank before?"
"Nooo..." Renee said in a slurred voice while laughing.
"Renee, let me drive you home."
"No! I wanna stay!" Said Renee pushing Marcus's chest playfully.
"Renee what's your address?"
"728 Jarmsfield Ave. Whyy?"
"I'm taking you home." Said Marcus while reaching out to grab Renee's hand. Renee pulled her hand back and started yelling at him.
"This is the first time in years that I actually had fun! I'm not going!"
"Fine Renee, but no more drinks, promise me ok?" Said Marcus genuinely concerned.
"OK! Fine! Party pooper, I promise." Said Renee.
The rest of the night was just Renee dancing and having fun while Marcus was watching her making sure she didn't get hurt. He didn't know why, but there was something about Renee that made him care about her more than any other girl he had been with.
At the end of the night Renee fell asleep, so Marcus decided to take her home. He got to the house and knocked on the door. Renee's father came to answer the door and when he saw Marcus carrying Renee on the doorstep while she was asleep, he was furious."WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY DAUGHTER?!"
