Colorless

A New Friend..

"Renee, my name is Renee...." She said to him returning the kind smile he had given her.
"Where are you in such a rush to get to?" He asked slightly curious.
"Work, would you like to tag along? I never get to talk to anybody."
"Sure!" Said Marcus.
With that they started walking to Renee's workplace together. They had some funny banter and compliments here and there, but Renee was intrigued by something. She was the only person she has ever seen with a red heart, but Marcus had one too. She didn't know any other person other than him with a red heart. They kept talking and laughing until they got to Renee's workplace.
"Hey Renee, I had a fun time talking to you. Maybe we should make plans to meet some time?" Said Marcus hoping Renee would agree to this proposition.
"Sure, I have a day off on Sunday. Want to meet then?"
"Sure that would be great, how about that bar down the street at seven? I can pick you up if you want?" Renee thought of what her father would say if a boy was at his doorstep, Marcus would probably get shot.
"Sure, but I will meet you at the bar, ok?"
"Sounds like a plan Stan!" Marcus said with a goofy grin on his face.
"I'll see you Sunday!" Said Renee walking off into her workplace to begin her shift.
"I wonder how this is going to go...." Thought Renee before walking behind the cash register and ringing up customers.
