There was a slightly uncomfortable silence in the car as they drove, so Renee decided to ignite a conversation.
"I'm sorry.." Said Renee putting her head down.
"For what, you didn't do anything wrong." Said Marcus still focusing on the road.
"I'm sorry for wrapping you up in my family drama, and only after three weeks of knowing you. My dad has been a jerk for as long as I can remember." Said Renee looking out the window, watching the trees go by. It was moments like these where Renee felt comfortable. They made Renee feel like there were actually places that were beautiful, not just grey and gloomy Jarmsfield.
"I'm sorry to hear about your dad, and it's really ok. I never have any fun in my life. Before I met you Renee, I never did anything but watch tv and go to different parties. They were all the same too, all you do is dance and drink."
"That sounds boring, to be honest." Renee said looking at Marcus. Marcus laughed at her remark knowing it was true. To Marcus it was boring, his parents were always away on business, so he had a huge house to himself all the time. Also, he could never do anything fun he had the same routine every day. There was silence for a while until Marcus chimed,
"We're here!!"
