As the child began to open the lid,
Of the box that had been sealed away,
She noticed a bright, blinding flash of light,
As everything she saw around her faded into oblivion. She awakened two days later,
Surrounded by a world she had never seen.
She felt at home here,
And didn’t want to leave. As she looked around her,
The girl noticed she was in a field of grass,
Surrounded on all sides by rolling hills,
And the sun shone brightly upon her face. The girl stopped and noticed a small tree,
Growing from the top of the nearest hill,
And resting inside the leaves,
She found a small collection of apples. So the girl, without a thought in her head,
Went up to the tree and picked the apples.
She bit into one, thinking to herself,
“If only I had a place to lie down and rest.”As she bit down,
A golden hammock was hung from the tree,
And the girl laid down to rest.
Finally, she was at peace with herself and the world around her.
