Chapter 19 •Again?•

I made it on time just to hear the second bell ring. So does this mean I'm about to get a beating? Here they come. Their not looking any happier either, damn it.

"Hey you slut! Where were you this morning!" Grayson shouts with anger.

"You almost missed your beating today." Ethan said with an evil smirk. They began to do the daily beating before I could respond.

The last bell rang and the twins left. I got up very slowly and made it to class very sore, again. I think. I made my way inside and sat down at my desk at the very back by myself.

Great! Just back to the usual days. Can't wait for lunch, I already know what's coming and nobody is gonna be there this time.

So far today has gone by so slow. All I want to do is go home, curl up in a ball and cry my life away. Sadly not everyone gets what they wish for.

I'm thinking of sneaking away before the twins find me. Cutting me off of my own thoughts was Ethan, shit. I forgot it was my daily beating. No! Too much for today.

"Time for your daily beating." Ethan whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine. He can be terrifying.
Oh so badly did I want to say something, but I know the consequences. So I kept my mouth shut.

What I didn't realize is that only Ethan was dragging me by my arms. Where was Gray? Not that I'm complaining. I'm glad it's only Ethan. He doesn't hurt me as bad as Grayson.

"Wheres Gray?" I manage to ask, not making eye contact. I'm not that stupid.

"Why does it matter to you." He snaps at me. I don't answer, scared of what he might do if I did.

Right before Ethan takes me outside, we pass the nurses office. I don't know why I haven't noticed it before, but I am really close I could kick it.

Before I'm completely dragged outside, I give a quick hard kick to the door, which got a reaction out of Ethan instead of the nurse. He started to drag me faster so the nurse won't see us. Oh come on!

When the doors closed. I see from the window she peeks her head out, but doesn't look my way. Stupid. Great I still get my beating.

Ethan picks me up and throws me behind a car. Seriously? Why did you pick me up if your just gonna drop me again?

"Please Ethan, I'm already sore you got what you wanted this morning. Can't one beating be enough for the day?" I say, trying to stall him.

"Just shut your mouth so no one will hear you, not that anyone will help, they hate you as well." He says, shrugging his shoulders as he started my beatings. He swung his left arm, he fist harshly coming in contact with my somewhat blocked face. No matter how I try block his punches, he still doesn't miss. He grabs my hoodie and forcefully makes me stand. A few more punches to the stomach and I'm down again. "Stop." I wheeze out. I stick out my arm to somehow stop him. But he just kick my hand too.

I let out a pained yell when I feel my finger break. They've never broken a bone before. Just badly bruised them.

Not long after I hear a girl shout from the school doors. "HEY! Leave her alone, you prick!" I almost cry tears of joy when someone finally notices.

Thankfully my vision isn't blurry so I can recognize her, she looks familiar. Hey! It's that Emily girl.

"Why don't you just mind your business and leave!" Ethan snaps at her.

"Fine. I'm leaving, but she's coming with me." Emily says picking me off of the ground. He doesn't make a move to stop her. He can't, and I don't know why.
