(Lui POV)
I knew something was not right. Nogla was acting so strange past few days, and I couldn't figure out what was eating him. He didn't greet me, he didn't ask me for a walk, he didn't say anything.

And even though I was still fully focusing on finding Delirious, I got used to my partner's treatment. Now without it I felt urge to know what was going on, urge to help him instead.

I drove to his house, since I had known where he lived, and walked to his door, where I knocked. I waited few minutes, but no response, only barking from his dogs.

Where is he? We don't have work day today. I thought he should be home with his dogs.

I pulled out the phone and called him. He wasn't answering, and through my body went concerns and worries. I decided to wait in my car for him.

This is the first time he hasn't actually answer my calls. What's going on? Maybe he's on date with someone? He would have told me, wouldn't he? Or he's on family dinner. I mean I have a free time, I can wait for him.

Three hours past, and after that I saw his car. My body tensed. I didn't know if I should have been happy that he was here, or angry because I was waiting for him. I got out of my car at the same time as him, and met with him in front of his door when he almost bumped into me.

"Oh, hi Lui! I didn't see you there," he greeted me, and unlocked the door.

"I can see that," I mumbled, and watched as he greeted his dogs with happiness.

"You wanna come in?" He asked me, when he turned his head to me.

"Sure."

We need to talk anyway.

I followed him to the kitchen, where he started to prepare food for his dogs.

"My puppies are goin' to eat and then we up for the walk, am I right?" He said to them with adorable voice which made me smile.

I always adored how he cared about the others.

"Nogla, what's wrong?" I decided to ask straight, no soft words.

He put two bowls full of food on the ground, and then looked at me.

"What do you mean? Ya wanna eat or drink something while those two balls of fur are done with their food?" He asked me innocently.

"I just want to talk with you. You've been acting strange lately. Like something is on your mind. But you get that I'm your partner, right? You can tell me anything. I may be able to help you. You're not alone in this." I tried to comfort him, to make him feel welcome around me.

"I know that. But there's nothing that could be bothering me," he replied.

We both went for a walk. I wanted to talk about this one more time. I wasn't satisfied, and I knew he was lying to me.

"Nogla please... I know I spend all my time in the office, looking for that fucker, which may seem like I don't care, but that's not true. I care about you, truly," I started again.

"Not as much as I care about ya," he whispered so silently, that I wasn't sure I heard correctly.

"What?" I asked slowly.

"I cared about you too, I said." I slowly nodded my head after his words.

"I told you about my past, about why am I hunting Delirious. I trust you in everything. Tell me what's bothering you."

"Ya told me about yer past? Mate it took ya almost four years, yer load of bollocks," he said with his fully Irish accent.

I knew that he speak in his language only when he's sad, shy or really angry. But his words hurt me a bit.

"I'm sorry that I don't speak with people about my past on the first sight. Dead of my lover isn't anything that I'm proud of," I spit out disappointed.

"I thought that ya trust me with everythin'! What were ya afraid of? That I would be runnin' and shoutin' yer story? That I would be judgin' ya?"

This is getting the other direction. I wanted to help him, not fight with him. And he's right. I should have told him earlier.

"I'm sorry," I said silently.

"It's just one of my friend. He saw something he shouldn't have and now he's in danger. And the worst thing is that I made a mistake that could now cost his life," he started to confess to me.

"What? What mistake?" I asked carefully.

"Long story short. My friend was bullied by other man, and I caught that man. Problem was that I let him escape. I'm such a stook, whanker! Now I don't know where this man is, and when he will bully my friend again," he completed fully angry.

"I'm sorry to hear that. But you're not any of that words you said. You couldn't predicted that he would escape. Plus you know how he looks like, don't you? I can't help you find him again. You have name, or photo of him?"

I felt really honored that he shared his problems with me. I was here for him, and I wanted to help him best I could.

He looked at me with some emotion in his eyes I couldn't recognized. Immediately after he smiled.

"Thank you, Lui. You're really best. But you should be focusing on Delirious, I can manage this."

I sighed after his words and stopped in front of my car, as we were returning to his house.

"I don't think I'm going to find something. Delirious don't leave anything behind him. That's the most frustrating part. So I'm going to wait till he strikes again."

"But we don't have that time. Boss said that we need to find him and make him kill that Ryan guy," Nogla opposed me.

"What am I suppose to do, Nogla? I can't find anything!" I growled.

"Come inside. I'm gonna make ya hot coco, and we can figure out something. Together."

"How can I say no to hot coco?" I said with smile.
