(Nogla POV)
I walked into my office. Everyone seems to forgot about my partner, like he had never existed. They were happily chatting, gossiping and solving the cases. It was more then annoying. I knew they didn't know him as I did.

"Morning," my new partner greeted me as I sat down.

I lightly nodded and turned on my PC. They should have sent me the results from Madison's investigation.

"What are you up to?" Mark asked with his deep tone of voice.

"Just checking the lab results," I replied silently.

"They haven't sent it yet, I already checked it."

I looked behind me at him and sighed.

No need to feel offended.

"Alright then. Another boring day is ahead of us then."

"Yeah."

Whole shift Mark was like glued to me. He didn't leave my side, and I was slightly getting irritating by it. We said our goodbyes and I was being watched leaving the work.

On my half way home I got a phone call. Putting it on the speaker, I answer it.

"Yo, David! You still haven't answered my email."

I recognized voice of Gustavo, our lab specialist, my old friend.

"Email? What email?" I asked, trying to focus on the road ahead of me.

"I sent you the results this morning," he said.

I frowned and stoped the car immediately on the side of the road. Grabbing the phone into my hand, I cancel the speaker and put the phone on my ear just to hear him properly.

"Ya what?"

"I sent you an email with the result from Madison's house."

What? I haven't got any email. Our system must be broken again.

"Really? Must be broken then, send it again then," I said with small smile.

"Or you could come back, I'll tell you what I know."

"Great idea. Be there in a twenty minutes, thanks friend."

I looked around and turned my car back to the work.

"Any time."

I should have a little chat with George first.

I arrived to the work within fifteen minutes. I walked into the building and headed straight to my boss's office. I knocked, waiting for the answer. Once he allow me to come in, I did what he said.

"Oh hello there, David. How's life treating you?" He asked, folding some files on the table.

"Ok, put the cards on the table. Why haven't ya ordered to arrest Delirious yet?" I asked, sitting down against him.

He was silent for a few long seconds, before shrugging his shoulders.

"What are you talking about?"

"Cut the slack. We both know how Delirious looks like, I gave you the statement about everything I remembered."

"I really don't know what are you talking about! And behave yourself, don't you dare raise your voice at me!"

I frowned, crossing my arms on my chest. I was so confused over his sudden change of behavior.

"But we have evidences," I mumbled.

"We don't have shit. And I want you stay out of this. It seems you have personal interest in this case, David. Oh and I'm suspending you from the Madison's case too."

What?

"Now, you can go," he said coldly, pointing at the door.

"What? But-" I was cut off by his voice.

"Go!"

I stood up and left his room, completely confused and puzzled.

What is going on here? Why is he behaving like this? There must be something behind this, there just must be. But I'm refusing just sit down and do nothing.

I quickly walked downstairs to meet Gustavo. He was sitting behind the table with his eyes glued to the microscope.

"Hi," I greeted him, my mood slightly getting up by seeing familiar face.

"David, you took your time. It's good to see you," he said, then hugged me.

"Why so down, friend?" He asked me worriedly.

"Nothing. So what do ya got?" I asked, forcing my mind to stop thinking about my boss.

"Ok. So this is what I find out. The killer was really precise. He cleaned almost everything after his act. We found some DNA on her body, which wasn't hers," he started excited.

"Ok, go on."

"Right, so I ran it through the database and found this fucker."

I looked at the monitor and saw Tyler's profile in there. I frowned again.

"Look I know this doesn't has to mean anything, he can just be her friend, or I don't know. But it's lead, right?"

Tyler? What? So it's true, Madison was connected with Delirious. That's why Tyler killed her, cleaning the evidences after his friend, cleaning all leads.

"And look, this is the email I sent you. See? I got an approval email that you read it. So you've seen it?"

"Huh?" I replied.

"It's ok, friend. I know you miss Lui, I'm not angry. You had to forgot that you read this email already."

"Ok, thanks... I'll keep in touch with ya."

I left him behind me, walking back to my office. This worried me a lot. I came to my PC, turned it on again and checked the emails, just to confirmed that I didn't get anything.

Gustavo said I read it in the morning, right? But I didn't. Oh wait, somebody had to read it and then erase it. Somebody who has a keys to my office, somebody like my partner.

Mark.
