Buddies [Chapter 3]

"Um...." I said quietly as my face began to burn because I knew everyone was staring at me.
Sanha nudged his elbow against me and whispered,
"A get to know each other packet.."
"A get to know each other packet?" I said quickly.
"Yes that's correct! I'm glad you've been listening! Anyways the packet is due Friday the end of this week and it's full of a ton of questions you have to go through with the person you're sitting next to right now! Whatever isn't done in class this hour has to be done outside of class. Get started as soon as you receive one." He starts passing out the packets and eventually Sanha and I get one.
I thanked Sanha for saving me from embarrassment. I truly thought Sanha would be a cocky and arrogant celebrity but he's actually pretty nice and I can tolerate him. We started asking each other the questions and filling out the packet as we go. There were so many different questions such as what is your favorite food or like what it's your moms name haha. Turns out we had a lot in common.
"Do you prefer cats or dogs?" Sanha asks me.
"I prefer dogs, THEY'RE SO CUTEEE!! My favorite breed are beagles!", I replied excitedly.
"No way! Same! That's weird cause my members nickname me as beagle HAHA! We have a lot in common this is amazing! I'm glad I'm getting to know you better and that I made my first friend!" He sounded really happy about this.
"Actually we aren't friends, more like buddies" I teased him and smiled.
"You suck."
I did a heart with my hands.
He did the same.
-BELL RINGS-
"Alright class! Packets due Friday! Have a nice day bye bye!!" My teacher shouts, but no one cares and rushes leaving.
I can feel everyone staring and me I don't know why and Sophia walks by me with a disgusted look on her face. I'm so confused...
"HEY LILY WAIT UP!!"
I hear Natalie yelling at me to wait for her.
"What is it?" I replied.
"Do you have a crush on Sanha?" She smirked.
"Ew no, what? It's literally been an hour since I've met him. He's pretty neat but I'm not interested. Why are you asking me this?"
"Well first of all you guys were talking a lot and acting cute during class and also Sophia told me she has a crush on Sanha and she doesn't want you guys interacting."
"I mean I don't care haha he's my bud."
"Good luck with Sophia then and every other fangirl in our school. I gotta get going bye!"
"Bye!"
Well that was a bit strange...maybe that's why everyone was giving me dirty looks??
My day just went on like that continuously because Sanha and I have literally all of our classes together and we sit together cause he doesn't have a lot of friends yet and is a bit scared of the fangirls after what happened this morning. Sophia kept trying to get in the way between us like for example he would tell me to come sit next to him and Sophia would take that spot, but eventually Sanha convinced her to leave and she was pissed. Eventually lunchtime rolled around.
-BELL RINGS-
"Bye class have a nice lunch!" My teacher yells.
Sanha and I walk to lunch together and I can feel the stares everywhere.
